Mai_Andra: Yeah, "block" and "guard" are both used, but block is defending the Phoenixborn and guard is defending a unit.
SeiichiSin: Honestly excited for Lorwyn. I didn't play during that set. But heard a lot about it so kinda interested to go back.

Mai_Andra: No, you always have 10 dice. You can change the sides, but you can't get more.
PMAvers: So there's a couple of important things in there as well, where defending units don't do damage to the attacker unless they counter (you exhaust them). So if you attack a exhausted unit, it won't be able to hit you back.
Mai_Andra: The original version had effects to ready dice or exhaust opponent's dice, but it was very unbalanced. Those effects were essentially auto-include, and it was not fun to play against.

Mai_Andra: The power symbol is always an animal. The basic symbol is the same for all colors. The other symbol is the class symbol.

Mai_Andra: "Ashes: Rise of the Phoenixborn" had a starter set and many expansion decks. Then they updated the rules to v1.5 and changed the branding to "Ashes: Reborn" which reprinted the starter set and released many new expansions.

PMAvers: They've released a second signature spell to everyone in the Red Rains series. You basically can include three signature cards between the two in your deck.

PMAvers: I really like the new Artifice magic type. The dice power basically just has you put one of your exhausted Artifice dice on one of your cards, and cards with those dice are considered "charged" for purposes of card effects. You kinda build like this clockwork machine where you need to flow them through your board state.
