 Territan: To appreciate the action, it would require a view of a running phone or pad app. Fortunately the top-down view of skulls falling out of the tower would be worth the price of admission.

 kusinohki: dark tower is a quite infamous classic game from the 80s.  it has recently been ... re-imagined?.  never played the original so can't really compare
KWardJenx: Music is very faint. Certainly not overpowering
 Territan: Okay, technically Renegade Games' "Return to Dark Tower," in which the tower is a weighty electronicized thing that you have to feed plastic skulls into. And you need a separate device to control the tower and run the game.

   LoadingReadyRun: @Territan neat! Is it a bit like fireball island?
 Territan: Fireball Island is much more vertical; the things rolling around the field are important. RTDT is flat, although the plastic skulls might bounce around a little more when they fall out of the tower onto a neoprene playmat.
 kusinohki: not really.  dark tower is a fantasy co-op game.  explore ruins, fight monsters, keep skulls in check, go on quests, try to get stronger so you can fight the big bad (which will most likely take multiple rounds)

 Territan: And RTDT is much pricier than the original. Mostly because the tower connects by bluetooth, and you still need some sort of smartphone to act as its interface.

   LoadingReadyRun: seems like the expansions definitely added more ways to remove buildings and creatures. I recall that in previous games the players ran out of space a lot quicker
