ancientspark: @tetradd01 The campaign isn't complete in Olden Era (Early access). Older era HoMM campaigns depended on the game, a lot of games had several campaigns, some longer or shorter. Single maps can take anywhere from 1 hour to many, but Olden Era is much heavier on "standard" maps which is 1-2 hours.

Simonark: HOMM 1 wasn't the first game in this like though, King's Bounty, a sort of answer to the original Master of Magic was the prototype, and over the last 15 years the King's Bounty's games that got made as HOMM fanservice did a somewhat better job than Ubisoft's HOMM games in the popular opinion.
