Is the problem that the gray damage that they do is cheaper than normal damage and so it's just that they have an easier time getting damage I before converting it in 'real damage' or is it just the feel bad that you could have gotten that health back?

 saucemaster5000: @TheMerricat the grey damage just doesn't come back very fast, so it kinda feels like a forgone conclusion that damage is already done. This is mitigated once players know to parry his stuff, but he has a lot of other very punishing setups for cheap and does an insane amount of damage on combos without having to spend meteer
  TXC2: like he spends little meter to get damage in, also that the way to counter him is non-intuative and kinda boring
