LRRbot: Next scheduled stream: Play it Forward (Beej fires up Betrayal at Krondor, the 1993 classic from Dynamix and Sierra Entertainment. Game: Betrayal at Krondor) at Sat 08:00 PM PDT (18m from now).
electra310: Sweet!
KakuEpsilon: We might even make Krondor this time
Arclight_Dynamo: I'd say there's a 65% chance we get to Krondor today.
Krelera88: I mean, it seems like a lot of the side quests are done, but who knows what Beej will decide to try and do this week.
aClonedPickle: and what chance do you forecast for a betrayal
KakuEpsilon: I mean, Betrayal is at every corner
KakuEpsilon: I expect at least once for Heather to Betrayal Beej.

TheMerricat: this theme is going to be burnt in to my brain by the end of this run :D
thraximore: FBtouchdown
jamesk902: Hi Beej!
jamesk902: LRL was great
thraximore: Today's was quite fun LUL
djalternative: this month had cheese
DeM0nFiRe: It was live, so something happened
PMAvers: Oh hey, it's the famous music composer Beejtoven.
Sibwow: puts tables on the floor and pays for the floor
aClonedPickle: it puts tables on the food and floors in the employees
HundreydAundre: Brocco Patties?!
Arclight_Dynamo: I zoned out for a sec, and now we're talking about brocco-mac?
snowmonkey99: brb, cooking lunch....
MAPBoardgames: Now I'm hungry. Thanks Beej!
Mysticman89: so you're saying I add florets to my kraft dinner in a glass in the microwave?
Xan_The_Quiet: i put sliced baby carrots into my mac n cheese
HundreydAundre: Oh, that's a HAM I'll take an adventure with.
TheMerricat: mac and cheese is on the horizon for dinner now...
TheMerricat: I've seen a few that include a freeze-dried packet of some sort of vegetables but they aren't even the size of bacon bits
Sibwow: velveeta is great but i find shells don't cook consistently
Mysticman89: theres cauliflower based klfrat dinner too, although imo its not great

Arclight_Dynamo: God, I love brassicas.
Sibwow: beej likes colliflower and it makes him better than us
Arclight_Dynamo: I love a good roasted broccoli. Super easy to do in the oven.
ritchards: Dimwood! Dimwood! Dimwood!
Sibwow: brussels sprouts are my fave veg
ElementalAlchemist: I'm roasting some broccoli right now

Arclight_Dynamo: Aw, yeah, love me some sprouts.
djalternative: @Driosenth reg cauliflower, sure. riced cauliflower turned into things like gnochi or pizza dough is great
johnalogue: I just got here and now there's macaroni discourse?
Sibwow: discussion
JadedCynic: dammit, more food talk?
djalternative: even cauliflower-rice stir fry is absolutely great
snowmonkey99: Does next live need a new episode ok Cooking at Home with Beej?
JadedCynic: yep
Sibwow: fiber and nutrients baby
JadedCynic: you speak truf
JadedCynic: start out with basic veggies
johnalogue: Corn is grain
RocknGrohlNerd: It seems I missed few episodes (many in fact), but wow what are these enemies?
Arclight_Dynamo: @RocknGrohlNerd This is a trap.
TheMerricat: @rockngrohlnerd this is a trap those aren't necessarily enemies as much as we push some of them around and the others shoot stuff at us
johnalogue: As a depressed autistic, I can definitely relate to this "I just need to find an easy vegetable I can eat" problem
Driosenth: I get my veggies from frozen bags. Dislike them, but it's fast and I power through it.
Arclight_Dynamo: @RocknGrohlNerd If we step between the staffs, we get zapped. If we step in front of the horizontal polygons, we get zapped. We can push the vertical polygons.
RocknGrohlNerd: oh right, thank you :)
JadedCynic: @Arclight_Dynamo yeah, this discussion IS a trap for my diet (it's 12:30am and I should NOT be eating ;) )
Arclight_Dynamo: Oh my god, salmon is *so* expensive here, it kills me. Trout's the best I can do.
JadedCynic: yeah, fresh cod around here is so easy
JadedCynic: (on canada's OTHER coast)
JadedCynic: salmon...not so much
TheMerricat: my problem is I only have a tall mini fridge for perishables ATM, wish I could find easy to store vegs
Arclight_Dynamo: White fish ranking: Halibut > Haddock > Sole > Cod
JadedCynic: whew I was about to warn you :D
JadedCynic: @aClonedPickle not wrong, but still cod > nothing
JadedCynic: cod is so flat and simple and basic
Arclight_Dynamo: Oh, I hear you.
Arclight_Dynamo: Beej. A fillet that big would cost me 60 dollars.
Arclight_Dynamo: At least.
johnalogue: I get that
JadedCynic: yeesh, yeah, 30 dollars here
JadedCynic: nfld is not on the 'atlantic salmon fishing grounds' :)
JadedCynic: but we're closer
Arclight_Dynamo: Shadow people are Nighthawks?
JadedCynic: now lobster? we practically throw that stuff away - use it as animal feed...
Arclight_Dynamo: @JadedCynic I would literally kill a man to get my hands on some never frozen cold-smoked haddock.
JadedCynic: ooooo
Arclight_Dynamo: Can't get it here.
JadedCynic: haddock sadly yeah isn't nearly as common here - pollock yes
Arclight_Dynamo: Ah, yeah, my experience is Nova Scotia. Family's from there.
Arclight_Dynamo: Oh, interesting item.
chaostreader: Call forth the dogs of war?
jamesk902: It always throws me when you say "finger" like it's a verb the game is giving you.
JadedCynic: I'm in a good mood nonetheless - weather was nice (18c, 40kph winds from south, sunny) for a change and with the 'may 2-4 weekend' the city is kinda empty with everyone obeying tradition and going to open up their summer homes or go camping. went to a park, waked, and fed the birds...and even that simple little commune with nature was SOOOOO stress-eliminating
Arclight_Dynamo: Something about... jungling? Is that a... LoL reference?
thraximore: @Arclight_Dynamo was gonna say, is Adam involved? LUL
JadedCynic: "jongleur' - one who juggles 'family jewels'?
Mysticman89: got to diamond in league and I *still* don't know how to jungle. (Support main.)
JadedCynic: ahhh, I remember this dude
JadedCynic: hahahahha
JadedCynic: and justice is served
djalternative: He's going to get rumbled for all of his fruit by the foot
PixelArtDragon: It's interesting that their scripting engine is powerful enough to add a quest-related screen in front of the "inn" screen
JadedCynic: "And what did we learn from this story, kids? Yes, that's right: kill all the tax collectors."
jubale1: when this game and what platform
JadedCynic: 1993, IBM-PC Dos
JadedCynic: well 'M$-Dos'
MaladyDark: very much needs a remake
lowbeer42: c:\>dir
djalternative: you know what? instead of fruit by the foot, I want fruit by the mile
johnalogue: @djalternative If we could sell America on fruit by the meter we might actually have a future
Arclight_Dynamo: I eroded this lute to a stump.
electra310: I am now envisioning the Brunching Shuttlecocks "Your Roommate Plays the Indigo Girls," but with Gorath and his lute.
MaladyDark: instruments wear out.
djalternative: well, I felt like fruit by the kilometer was too short
JadedCynic: @MaladyDark sadly, I dunno if you could make a faithful remake with the technology improvements, gameplay techniques and tropes we've since adopted...
thraximore: Instruments experience entropy also.
SquareDotCube: just because the string broke doesn't mean you throw the whole thing away
djalternative: sounds about right
JadedCynic: "Everything man-made breaks...including promises" - me, I swear
JadedCynic: ala Animal house?
JadedCynic: but with less exuberence
MaladyDark: ah... yes. Olden times
MaladyDark: oooh warp
JadedCynic: oh right, things stretch - wood warps under pressure, etc
djalternative: Is this stream really just "How Animal House is actually like real life" podcast?
JadedCynic: Problem with that? ;)
RocknGrohlNerd: yeah the neck tention gets ruined,
JadedCynic: sorry "Problem, Astartes?" Kappa
Arclight_Dynamo: "I wanted a quote! A quote!"
JadedCynic: and then they went ahead and DID it? :(
johnalogue: "haha screw you we technically get to charge you"
thraximore: oh man
MaladyDark: uhhhh
JadedCynic: we literally ship of theasus'd it
JadedCynic: the patina
thraximore: how much did it cost? LUL
JadedCynic: it aged like wine - improved! :)
Electrodyne: Beej can you arrange your hair like his?
electra310: Wow
MaladyDark: the joy of it?
thraximore: Nice!
Arclight_Dynamo: Aw, cool guy. :D
johnalogue: did they just do it because they figured the value would've increased beyond what the labor costs?
djalternative: dope
JadedCynic: <3
grometty: What a cool dude
Kiryama: What a nice story ^_^
electra310: That's a nice story, I'm glad it turned out that way
johnalogue: it sounds like the guy just really wanted to work on the guitar!
RocknGrohlNerd: oh very cool dude, awesome
JadedCynic: goody guy luthier
electra310: Did your dad like it?
MaladyDark: when a repair dude loves his craft, and makes enough to not have to worry over every single penny
thraximore: :)
johnalogue: Repair is something our society needs for many reasons
DeM0nFiRe: That's a nice story
Arclight_Dynamo: That's just deeply wholesome.

MAPBoardgames: Peaches? Millions of them?
djalternative: Movin' to the country. Gonna eat a lot of peaches
Arclight_Dynamo: Sure, we have a lot of pick your own apple orchards around here.
djalternative: peaches come from a can. they were put there by a man
djalternative: in a factory doooooown tooooooown
johnalogue: I just remembered that so
johnalogue: dammit keyboard
djalternative continues the obligitory Peaches by PotUSA
johnalogue: @djalternative I remember that song now and I blame you
RocknGrohlNerd: is my stream stuck or is Beej just perfectly still
RocknGrohlNerd: oh no, we are good, Beej moved
djalternative: beej is a great impersonator of paintings
johnalogue: Be careful Beej, chat hunts by movement
djalternative: @djalternative I'll never apologize for reminding people of PotUSA
johnalogue: @djalternative what's the popular consensus about that song? Am I in a minority, or...
Arclight_Dynamo: Uh... what are they going to do?
HundreydAundre: How epic would that be? To anger a god.... & NOT DYE?
DeM0nFiRe: "a few"
MAPBoardgames: Time to dispense some indiscriminate justice.
johnalogue: @HundreydAundre Well so long as they aren't like, a goddess of weaving or art...
thraximore: Epic? Might be preferable to just die, honestly.
thraximore: Less painful.
JadedCynic: heck, @HundreydAundre - that's a good backstory for a powerful new convert to the god...
djalternative: @johnalogue It's a well enjoyed entry in their discography. It's fairly similar to most of their work so it's possible the band just isn't for you
johnalogue: Does the phrase "fate worse than death" mean nothing to y'all?
JadedCynic: don't think it can't happen? See Saul->Paul ala Christianity ;)
johnalogue: @johnalogue Gotcha.
EdoardoZone: Dice Friends.
Arclight_Dynamo: Roll it on top?

djalternative: holy crap. PotUSA came out with an album in 2014. I'm going to love this listen.
Arclight_Dynamo: Oh my god, this game is *terribly* coded. :D
obijam_: quite the racquet
JadedCynic: "we use techniques some would call.......'sploits'"
JadedCynic: :D
MAPBoardgames: In chapter 4, YOU are the one in the barrel.
thraximore: minimum gain of 200 gold per cycle?
thraximore: not bad
JadedCynic: is this faster than duping quarrels?
johnalogue: this inn has huge reserves of cash
Laurence72: the tavern "SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY"
Arclight_Dynamo: I think it works out better than duping in gold per time terms.
johnalogue: The house always...wins?
Mysticman89: that he runs out of money at all makes me think they wanted a failsafe for save scumming, but alas, epxlits still abounded
thraximore: Much faster
EdoardoZone: how's the stock market in the middle ages
djalternative: our nickname is "The House"
thraximore: and you have to be a decent bard
JadedCynic: but it requires the prequesite of having a good barding skill to earn 250g
thraximore: so there IS an up front cost
thraximore: bet you this went overlooked cuz most people didn't compulsively bard when the game first came out

djalternative: Man, I'd love a skit where someone named "The House" just goes to Vegas and begins to copiously cheat and it ends with The House always wins.
JadedCynic: tbh, I'm kinda enjoying discovering (even second-hand) these little cheats and exploits...more than I'd enjoy USING them :)
Mysticman89: compulisively barding doesn't seem that obscure, with practice lutes an all I feel like the min-maxers of the time would be naturally on it. Alternatting gambling and barding though is a lil more unintuitive
JadedCynic: @djalternative what, Hugh Laurie's titular character never went had a 'go to vegas' episode?
djalternative: oh. that is the kind of show that would do that, isn't it?
Arclight_Dynamo: Are we locked off from any part of the map in the next chapter? Because that rather limits where we'd want to store our stuff.
thraximore: Welcome to Talking SImulator: today, Pong!
JadedCynic: @Mysticman89 yeah, it feels like one would earn the prereq for the sploit as normal progression, but then it's 'using' that ability in this unintuitive way...
thraximore: nyoooom
djalternative: I know I can't be the first person to think of that joke but why there?!
djalternative: @thraximore they could theoretically do that pong rpg
johnalogue: wait we've been to Romney, I remember not being able to think of a joke
thraximore: @thraximore LUL didn't know there was one LUL
Arclight_Dynamo: Ah, yeah, looking it up, the walkthrough has us going through Darkmoor in Ch 2, so your instinct is correct.
Arclight_Dynamo: Wow, these chumps sucked.
JadedCynic: heck, with these shlubs, maybe have Owyn melee them too :D
obijam_: unexpected attack, also known as assault
JadedCynic: does attacking melee consume some stamina?
EdoardoZone: the human eye can't perceive more than 256 colors
MAPBoardgames: What about brains? They have a hunger for brains.
JadedCynic: see, after a while, you 'get in the frame of mind' to solve these :D
HundreydAundre: It could've been the 'deed'.... rite?
JadedCynic: @MAPBoardgames no, that's the *UN*dead
johnalogue: do our eyes produce digital or analogue output?
MAPBoardgames: Ah. My mistake.
JadedCynic: ah...the music makes me reflexively think of X-Wing from the same era...
PixelArtDragon: Huh, I wonder if we're overleveled or something lrrBEEJ
EdoardoZone: @johnalogue same with laserdisc
TheMerricat: we got a bit of hiss if that is what you mean
JadedCynic: "overkill"? No such thing ;)
electra310: Enjoy these repaired weapons and armor in the afterlife, dead person. Please don't haunt me.
johnalogue: @EdoardoZone that's like DVD but nobody liked it, right?
mitomanox: late night beej is the new sensation
mitomanox: sweeeping the nation

PixelArtDragon: I love trying to figure out how this game does stuff in-engine
EdoardoZone: dos is very stable. we're in good hands
JadedCynic: TBF I'ma get up and stretch
djalternative: @TheMerricat oh no! not the hiss! we must find Jesse
mitomanox: we're gonna stretch and see commercials
JadedCynic: @EdoardoZone well, the DOSBox VM...
MaladyDark: I should eat. :/ but lazy
EdoardoZone: @JadedCynic we're gonna die
DarkMorford: Ooh, cheesecake on TTSF
HundreydAundre: A Cheese-Quel?!
PMAvers: Curious to what the CTS is, since it's still TBD
BeldansFire: I just saw Krondor. Is this Raymon E Feist themesd?
JadedCynic: @BeldansFire yes, he contributed to the writing in the game
BrindleBoar: Yes, we're having a Fiestesta.
JadedCynic: I mean, it's post-rift saga...really kinda late in the series...
DarkMorford: We're not even close to Krondor yet, are we?
angryoptimist: That's what I've heard.
JadedCynic: ironically, we're just next door, but no, I don't think we're going there
BeldansFire: Well hot Dang. Darkness at Sethanon was my intro into the Fantasy genre.
angryoptimist: Why would you go there? That's where the betrayal is.
DarkMorford: On second thought, let's not go to Krondor. 'Tis a silly place.
EdoardoZone: roll credits?
mitomanox: I think Beej streams deserve jazz music during commercials
mitomanox: i don't know why but i think it fits
Electrodyne: Not all who Krondor are lost.
BrindleBoar: that would make it harder to hear Heather.
DarkMorford: Speaking of which, where is our ghost friend?
thraximore: speaking of whom, where is seeecret podcast?
JadedCynic: HIVEMIND!
mitomanox: hello beej!
EdoardoZone: This game should have a mod where you put your face as main character.
hexy_lexy: hey beej!
Acroamatis: Get the bat?
JadedCynic: "Run, coward" - Sinistar
Bahumot: Can you imagine how lonely all those assassins waiting at Krondor are by this point?
angryoptimist: Ennui Thy Nostrils
DarkMorford: Dear Dr. Beej, how was the cheese? It looked very orange.
MAPBoardgames: Dryer
thraximore: *thud*
HundreydAundre: There's cheese!?
DarkMorford: What have I done? Kappa
Bahumot: Oh Boy! Live Cheese!
Mysticman89: 90 dollar cheese wedge
johnalogue: there was prize cheese
TheMerricat: @hundreydaundre they played roll the cheese down the hill and catch it on loading ready live
MaladyDark: hooo ho hooo
electra310: That cheese looked yummy
MaladyDark: now I want cheese.
electra310: I probably would've chased a fake cheese down the hill for it
Mysticman89: I think I tend to prefer a softer cheese to what that appeared to be, but hard to go too wrong with cheese
TheMerricat: turns out cheese is expensive and entire wheel of cheese is like $1000
angryoptimist: Alas, I missed LRL. I have bad time management. I'll enjoy the VOD later, though--and don't mind spoilers.
JadedCynic: SeemsGood
angryoptimist: Cheese rolling sounds pretty fun.
JadedCynic: well, more like 500 for a wheel like that
angryoptimist: A cheddar or some sort?
electra310: I think the archery guy wanted it most badly, followed closely by Serge
JadedCynic: yeah beemster is smoked
Arclight_Dynamo: Hm... I have some Camembert in the fridge. I think I'll need to get a little at the next break...
JadedCynic: @angryoptimist dutch beemster
angryoptimist: Neat. Never had that one.
JadedCynic: similar to gouda but less buttery
angryoptimist: That sounds pretty good.
MaladyDark: it's fine, they use a dummy cheese for official cheese rolling these days. makes it food-safe
Arclight_Dynamo: Oh! Yeah, I have that red tub in the fridge, too. Love that. :D
MaladyDark: dutch cheeses are great.
JadedCynic: <3
Holmeslice_: Heck yeah, Dutch is my fav character from Predator
Holmeslice_: he makes good cheese
JadedCynic: yeah, that's it
DeM0nFiRe: Despite the name, I undersand there are no laser beams involved whatsoever?
Bahumot: It is worth our support :) !
JadedCynic: @DeM0nFiRe no, sadly - unless the deli cut it with lasers for LRR, no
Arclight_Dynamo: This is the sharp cheese tub Beej was talking about. Imperial: https://i.imgur.com/8iPki4L.jpg
angryoptimist: Active, delicious rot.
DarkMorford: I've been meaning to try making my own cheese. I think I have most of the supplies, it's just takes basically all day to do and who has that kind of time anymore?
MaladyDark: i mostly eat dutch or greek cheese, due to not being able to eat Cow Dairy. Australia has very few Goats Dairy places and they pretty much only make the basic soft goats cheese
JadedCynic: heck, Blue cheese is literally lethal to me - I'm allergic to penicillin which is what they inject the cheese to make the blue mold; when I worked with it in the deli, I double-gloved
johnalogue: Adulthood: The Food
TheMerricat: ack! @jadedcynic that sucks
MaladyDark: I love blue cheese. sadly I developed a penicillin allergy in my early 20s and thats what makes it blue :9
JadedCynic: a nice soft chevre for spreading on crackers, or stiring into a hot pasta dish
Arclight_Dynamo: Yeah, I like blue cheese in things, but on its own I can't handle it. It's too much.
JadedCynic: @MaladyDark *fistbump of fellow allergic*
angryoptimist: I love eating blue cheese by itself.
MaladyDark: @JadedCynic *bumps*
JadedCynic: love someone who 'adapts' <3
angryoptimist: I'm glad I haven't yet developed a penicillin allergy, since it's apparently not that uncommon... I'd miss blue cheese. Not that I can get blue cheese where I am anymore. :/
TheMerricat: I still want more explanation about your comment of guac with peas in it
MaladyDark: I love Australian stroganoff. which has no redwine, no tomato. it's just beef, paprika, onions and sourcream. served on Rice! I make it with goat yoghurt due to the sourcream intolerances
MAPBoardgames: Peas and Avocado are basically the same.
snowmonkey99: @MaladyDark You forgot the mushrooms
Arclight_Dynamo: Yeah, the NYT food pages are awful. They did a piece on Ottawa and wrote a gushing review of the Wine Rack. The Wine Rack sells crap wine in grocery stores. It was so bad.
electra310: I wonder if you could do that instead of the avocado. I love guac but I became allergic.
shurtal: Now Im thinking about guac and pea wet....
djalternative: It was either NYT or WSJ because they always publish poorly researched recipies
MaladyDark: @snowmonkey99 ah yes. I did
Mysticman89: depends on the goal I figure. If you'
KeytarCat: oh huh! forgot this was on today!
JadedCynic: a nice bit of smoked gouda...a slice of sharp cheddar melting on a burger...a sprinkle of crumbled goat cheese on pasta...a mix of provolone and asiago with the mozza on a pizza... <3
snowmonkey99: When I was little I hated mushrooms. One day I caught my mom cooking my favourite meal - stroganoff (her recipe involved a can of creamy mushroom soup) and I had to choose between hatred of mushrooms and love of Strog
KeytarCat: wait, no, just forgot it was Saturday
PixelArtDragon: Food science is a science
BrindleBoar: That sounds revolting, to me, frankly. If you like guac-pea-ole, that's fine, but I don't want anything to do with it.
MAPBoardgames: People get pissy over semantics.
Mysticman89: if you're curious if you like beef strogenov, then you'd want to try 'the' beef strogenov, but if your goal is to just have something to eat, go wild
PixelArtDragon: Not every dip is a hummus!
TheMerricat: @electra310 actually I when Beej first mentioned it all I found trying to context it were "guac"alternatives using peas instead of avacado
DarkMorford: I still haven't quite gotten used to the "fancier" cheeses like blue, brie, and all those. All we ever had when I was growing up was Kraft singles and the mild cheddar that comes in a half-pound block.
PixelArtDragon: Hummus refers to *chick peas*
JadedCynic: @PixelArtDragon true, but cuisine is also an art...
ZawaAmaz: there can be no peas
angryoptimist: Chick peas and tahini.
Driosenth: sour cream in Mexican food is still controversial as in Mexico consider that Tex-Mex
KeytarCat: bean dip is good, but noooooo
electra310: I make my pesto with chickpeas instead of pine nuts because it costs so much less. Does that make it basil hummus? :D
MaladyDark: my gran loved soft white cheeses. there was always some in the fridge.
JadedCynic: @DarkMorford next time you get a pizza, try getting extra cheese like asiago or provolone with the mozza; maybe sprinkle some blue cheese crumble on your bbq wings
johnalogue: because it's like skeumorphism, people like pretending they are doing something the same way
johnalogue: change scares some people
JadedCynic: "here - try my sparking white wine"
MAPBoardgames: @PixelArtDragon I've been at a restaurant which told me about their special dipping sauce. "It's a hummus but with eggplant instead of chick peas."
MaladyDark: my husband puts parmesan (real not green shakey) on anything cheese would go on
johnalogue: @PixelArtDragon so it's eggplant dip because it's a dip made of eggplant
Arclight_Dynamo: @MAPBoardgames ...baba ganoush?
thraximore: @johnalogue thanks for teaching me a new word, neat
JadedCynic: ooooo, flakes of king patm <3
Arclight_Dynamo: Like... that's a *thing* already. It's babaganoush.
gkingrat: @MAPBoardgames Babaganoush is goo though
gkingrat: *good
MAPBoardgames: @Arclight_Dynamo Yes. Yes it is.
JadedCynic: vOv
electra310: It does the job!
TheMerricat: lol
blip2004: it is good enough
JadedCynic: it's still got the flavour
MaladyDark: green shakey! it's great. I found a Vegan one for myself. :p
JadedCynic: or frozen garlic cubes
johnalogue: @thraximore I can complain about "fake" design and marketing for weeks without pause
snowmonkey99: I love the powdered parmesan "cheese"
JadedCynic: some times that's all you can get access to
johnalogue: Stop imitating and be proud of what something actually *is*
KeytarCat: @jadedcynic garlic bouillon LUL
PixelArtDragon: Sometimes the price or convenience is fine
Driosenth: It's too bad we can't classify food like we classify steels, with exact alloy % allowances and heat treatment procedures, but that won't happen until a food crisis on the level a bridge collapse.
TheMerricat: is it edible? do you enjoy it? the it's fine :)
Arclight_Dynamo: Find what is good enough for *you*. I like Kraft "Parmesan" but can't use pre-minced garlic.
MAPBoardgames: My dad feels that things in the same category are all the same, so why not buy the cheaper one.
djalternative: Parmagano Reggiano is really only as expensive as it is because it has to be made in a specific region of Italy and has to be approved by a council @LoadingReadyRun
electra310: There are some things that you really want fresh parm for, but in some dishes, I feel like the powdered parm is actually better. I have an amazing recipe for artichoke-garlic dip that is no good with fresh parm, only powdered will do.
JadedCynic: @Driosenth yeah, then the issues with food are related not to 'alloy purity' but silly things like 'hygiene' and 'food safety' LUL
Arclight_Dynamo: Also, a lot of authentic dishes use cheap ingredients. Like, if you find a real Chinese recipe that calls for ketchup, they *mean* it.
TheMerricat: I mean if you want the sort of alloy specific type of food just look up army specifications they break it down all the way to the number of insect parts that you can have in your recipe
djalternative: Yeah. It's like how there are 2 classes of olive oil. There's cooking olive oil, and there's eating olive oil (which is the expensive kind)
JadedCynic: you wanna try a 'real' cheese similar to King Parm? Romano seems to be close for me...ymmv
johnalogue: Ease of production is key to a design
thraximore: Play to every out that isn't Krondor :p
JadedCynic: sigh
electra310: Curse Krondor's sudden yet inevitable betrayal
djalternative: also, kitchen secret, most chicken parm you order will be more mozz than parm
JadedCynic: ding!
thraximore: next week, perhaps
PixelArtDragon: One of the important aspects of engineering is that you're not looking for the perfect solution, you're looking for the most cost-effective solution that meets your requirements
MaladyDark: one of the steps of coming to terms with having multiple allergies/intolerances. is knowing when to admit that it's not "real" and run with it, and when to pretend
djalternative: or is it provalone? I forget
DarkMorford: @JadedCynic My usual grocery store has a Murray's Cheese counter and they've usually got a little basket with little chunks that are $5 or less. But then half the time I've never heard of the cheeses that are in there, so I end up just sticking to the smoked gouda or something else "safe." >_>
electra310: If we have a time when we don't have Gorath, will we be able to get into these chests?
JadedCynic: right, so in Chap 2, we need to 'make a milk run' eh, Beej? :D
Arclight_Dynamo: Ring of Prandur?
PixelArtDragon: You know, we could always go to Krondor but then leave immediately...
TheMerricat: did we ever find our cheap emeralds?
DarkMorford: Krondor can't betray us if we betray it first!
thraximore: Anticipating the betrayal at Krondor is more fun than the actual event, I bet :D
JadedCynic: @DarkMorford we've been betraying it for months (in-game) ;)
johnalogue: whoever is waiting to betray us must be feeling really awkward by now
TheMerricat: remember where we parked chat!
Arclight_Dynamo: It finally happened!
thraximore: oh we're actually going. Can hardly believe it
TheMerricat: lrrHORN lrrHORN lrrHORN lrrHORN
CaptainSpam: lrrGOAT lrrGOAT lrrGOAT
DarkMorford: But yeah, the Murray's counter has some stuff that sounds intriguing - I saw a Stilton with blueberries in it a while back - but I have no idea what it's supposed to taste like or what to have it with, so I always wind up skipping it.
hexy_lexy: WE GOT THERE
PixelArtDragon: FBtouchdown FBtouchdown FBtouchdown
electra310: KRONDOR
thraximore: FBtouchdown
CaptainSpam: We did it! Game compelte!
electra310: Quick, everyone betray something!
FanboyBryan: KRONDOR
CaptainSpam: FBtouchdown
KeytarCat: FBtouchdown
Arclight_Dynamo: FBtouchdown
JadedCynic: again, I'm reminded of a Rogue spin-off where the story is your hero is sent into the dungeon to recover an artifact to free our king of a debilitating curse. The manual has little short passages telling the story; at the end of the manual it summarizes that the hero finally returned scarred and weary but with the needed artifact after delving for several years...and the king having died some months before the hero's return :D
lemmel: FBtouchdown
aClonedPickle: FBtouchdown KRONDOR FBtouchdown
hexy_lexy: HUZZH WEVE BEEN BETRAYED
FanboyBryan: its glorious!
JadedCynic: And now we get on the rails....
KakuEpsilon: FBtouchdown
RealLegitStreamer: FBtouchdown
EdmundJuniper: What! You went to Krondor?! I feel so betrayed.
electra310: Shopping!
RealLegitStreamer: Take us to the store
thraximore: I always go right to the sewer when visiting the big city.
johnalogue: @JadedCynic It sounds like the king's healthcare plan may have been ill-conceived
JadedCynic: and already we've been betrayed by the tourist traps of the capitol :D
angryoptimist: Now the game truly begins!
JadedCynic: TRIFORCE!
johnalogue: oh hey a triforce
thraximore: Oh that's... just a Triforce.
CaptainSpam: I mean, a Sierpinski gasket isn't all that unusual. :p
Arclight_Dynamo: Can we sell that crossbow?
JadedCynic: "ooo! I can finally upgrade to Elven armor!" Kappa
KeytarCat: can the staff recharge?
JadedCynic: oof ; tough crowd in the capital
johnalogue: the batteries on the staff aren't replaceable, you have to buy a whole new one
thraximore: @johnalogue typical planned obsolescence.
johnalogue: There are no right to repair laws in Krondor
MaladyDark: PUG!!!
CaptainSpam: The portcullis! It's a damaged portcullis! The portcullis doesn't work! Not the portcullis! riffKappa
Arclight_Dynamo: Man, fuckin' James... Kappa
JadedCynic: oh for crying out loud...0/3
JadedCynic: yeah, Pug & James :)
TheMerricat: lol
jamesk902: Oh yeah Signeur James will be Jimmy the Hand.
CaptainSpam: #BlameSigneurJames
johnalogue: What else are sewers but a clever way past fortifications?
MAPBoardgames: "A secret passage into Omashu? Why didn't we use this last time?"
thraximore: Haggled the door successfully! FBtouchdown
Arclight_Dynamo: That's some *quality* accent, there. :D
ElementalAlchemist: That was an elf's voice
obijam_: ooo go dere~
PixelArtDragon: Vaguely errotic
johnalogue: don't "do" anyone in a sewer, it's unsanitary!
johnalogue: Be SURE to wash your hands of everything in this place, kid
MAPBoardgames: What's a pence? I thought we use sovereigns and royals.
TheMerricat: twitch is not liking that wall pattern
JadedCynic: well, moreso on the ceiling and floor
JadedCynic: it's *a* way out...Ima wager it's not to the Castle...
SaintCharlesVII: mm sewer rations...
electra310: That dead guy better appreciate how much nicer his sword is now!
thraximore: these guys suck!
CaptainSpam: That one guy knows a support spellcaster when he sees one.
CaptainSpam: WHUMP
thraximore: whacked 'em
MAPBoardgames: Kingdom investigators are baffled by a pack of serial killers stalking the countryside. These brigands curiously leave their victim's weapons are armor patched and polished.
KeytarCat: always an interesting day when your support caster gets a melee kill
Asoxa subscribed at Tier 1. They've subscribed for 50 months!
Asoxa: 50... 50 is a number.. I guess... Well, money will spent.Hi beej.
LRRbot: lrrSPOT Thanks for subscribing, Asoxa! (Today's storm count: 180)
johnalogue: the emergent gameplay of becoming serial killers who repair the equipment of our fallen enemies doesn't get old
DarkMorford: #BlameJames
thraximore: Oh so thaaaat's why they suck.
obijam_: James mustve fell in a hole
thraximore: Not even real assassins
Juliamon: What is a sewer but a series of interconnected holes?
johnalogue: so "soon"
thraximore: @Juliamon Does this make all of us sewers? umbraThink
Juliamon: We do produce sewage...
KeytarCat: !holes
LRRbot: Did somebody mention famous Shia LaBeouf vehicle Holes??
thraximore: buuuut you wanna keep exploring, eh? :p
Arclight_Dynamo: We need to rub our face *all over* this sewer, first.
Juliamon: We *could* get out of these smelly sewers... but there could be TREASURE
Arclight_Dynamo: Never use the same password for more than one place, folks!
Nuurgle: That's what a master key is
Juliamon: That's like, medieval "use the same password for everything"
Nuurgle: maybe he's head of security
Arclight_Dynamo: @Juliamon Ha. Same hat. :P
beowuuf: morning beej funny to watch live while i'm in the middle od catching up
electra310: After all this betrayal stuff, maybe they will start thinking more about security
johnalogue: I mean all you need to do then is cut out a lock and figure out what the physical "backdoor" is
thraximore: misread that as "buck naked" and not "bull necked" at first 0_0
johnalogue: then mass produce keys
thraximore: @johnalogue or just make the one, so no one knows you did it
johnalogue: @johnalogue fair enough, but the effort of changing all the locks and presumably doing the same thing seems like more of a burden on them at this point, depending on your aims
electra310: Imagine someone gets their pouch stolen and you need to rekey the entire palace
thraximore: @electra310 Job security, says the locksmith :)
johnalogue: it's at least as secure as a water treatment plant
johnalogue: and that's no lye
Arclight_Dynamo: "Look, James. Some of us are good at our jobs, m'kay?" Kappa
thraximore: boooo
thraximore: real nighthawks, that is
Arclight_Dynamo: Train lockpick?
beowuuf: that book might have been badly written but it sure did have all the counteracting anti-venoms
TheMerricat: I think the only fake ones we've met are in the sewer The real ones are immune to stuff and the ones we met overland were immune
redyounglink: the edward hopper original
obijam_: we wont take "cant" for an answer owen. pick again.
KeytarCat: @redyounglink that took far too long to parse, but I like it
electra310: Pick a little, talk a little, pick a little, talk a little, cheap-cheap-cheap! Talk a lot, pick a little more...
jibkat: Oh hey a break
KeytarCat: music man!
AstraiaAoide: music man? jmotheLove
beowuuf: wb
TheMerricat: lol Beej
beowuuf: :D
TheMerricat: you've got lockpicking lawyer's cadence down pack
TheMerricat: pat even
Nuurgle: and as always, have a nice day
chaostreader: This is a very long unboxing video. Not longer than Mailtime though.
johnalogue: the .com adds so much to the stock price
SirMorek: gotta let them know you're incorporated
bionicborp: As always this was the loclearing lawyer
thraximore: only took a couple minutes
angryoptimist: I have that same exact mug. Was a gift from my aunt and uncle who actually travel(ed).
thraximore: @bionicborp LUL
beowuuf: i've become very used to beej speaking and playing at x1.5 speed :p
thraximore: If he had it already I didn't see it either
JadedCynic: "Ask me tomorrow; tonight let it be Lowenbrau." :D
angryoptimist: Yep. It's my go-to for hot chocolate, being I don't drink.
angryoptimist: I want to say my Aunt and Uncle got theirs from Austria, but I'm not sure.
edh420: wow this is an old game, very cool!!
angryoptimist: I'm not sure if that makes sense, though. I don't know if Austrians care about Heineken. I'm not sure how much Germans do, for that matter.
beowuuf: demonstrated a loop, dungeon must conceed
PixelArtDragon: I think Owyn's at a point where he can hold his own one-on one in a fight
thraximore: TMW you get smurfed so hard the mage hits you over the head with his lightning stick
beowuuf: i'm about two sessions behind so owyn not running away surprised me
KeytarCat: BOP BOP BOP
Arclight_Dynamo: Oh ho!
beowuuf: the only way is forwards, there is no turning back...
thraximore: hm
angryoptimist: What's beneath the sewers? The subocean, clearly.
Arclight_Dynamo: Wait, we got into here and I didn't make a "Maze of twisty little passages, all alike" joke. What is wrong with me?
thraximore: @angryoptimist man, what would that even LOOK like here I wonder
angryoptimist: That one shot of the Fremen super reservoir in Dune?
angryoptimist: Well, the old Dune movie. Has the new one come out yet?
thraximore: @Arclight_Dynamo "Such blockages are unsurprising. These tunnels predate even the earliest settlers."
Arclight_Dynamo: @thraximore Darkest Dungeon?
Arclight_Dynamo: My reference is, uh, a little older. :D
thraximore: I thought that's what you were referencing lol
beowuuf: i knight you sir...well, shit. am i doing this wrong?
Arclight_Dynamo: Heh, nope. Zork.
Arclight_Dynamo: Ooh! It's even older. Colossal Cave Adventure.
thraximore: Haha I heard it in Wayne June's voice in my head regardless
TheMerricat: I sorta want to see Adam and Paul and Beej do a playthough of the Zork series now...
angryoptimist: All I know about Zork is "it is dark, you are likely to be eaten by a grue" and (this was Zork, right?) "autocannibalism is not the answer".
BusTed: jlrrCarrotmilk
TheMerricat: @Arclight_Dynamo IIRC Zork 1 is essentially CCA
thraximore: @angryoptimist That latter quote is quite something
Arclight_Dynamo: @angryoptimist That's Zork, yup.
MAPBoardgames: He was 2 weeks away from being able to afford the bow he always wanted. And now he's dead.
Arclight_Dynamo: @TheMerricat MIT Zork is CCA, almost literally. Zork I is part of MIT Zork. It's... complicated. :D
TheMerricat: LOL
angryoptimist: @angryoptimist It's the response you get when you use the noun "myself" on the verb "eat" in the parser.
beowuuf: not even killed by that bow. not even good enough for alanis style irony
johnalogue: I saw CCA and thought "cold cranking amps" and had to check earlier in chat to find what it meant
TheMerricat: lol @johnalogue
angryoptimist: I saw CCA and thought "Char's Counterattack".
TheMerricat: Man the folk in this world are really into sea shells
r10pez10: CCA sings bad moon rising
asddsa28: good sploncking
KeytarCat: CCA was just a highschool in my hometown
Arclight_Dynamo: Prolly gotta find the right ladder. Whoof.
DarkMorford: Dammit, James
beowuuf: what a royal pain
r10pez10: is it really backtracking if you're just lost
johnalogue: did Beej crash
beowuuf: @r10pez10 it's like the tree in the forest
Krelera88: If I recall correctly, the story reason is that whomever sabotoged the gate ruined all but one of these secret doors as well
beowuuf: @johnalogue unless i'm far behing he's fine
angryoptimist: @johnalogue Beej momentarily hung. Theory: Beej is single-threaded. Kappa
r10pez10: that noise sounds like the bumper noise from Friday Nights
Krelera88: If you click the lock whoever is selected says its broken
beowuuf: @johnalogue did he hang or is he just very good at remaining perfectly still to avoid wild heather attacks?
Arclight_Dynamo: New typeface!
PixelArtDragon: 1 down, 8 to go!
BusTed: 💩
angryoptimist: Very poop emoji.
beowuuf: lol
r10pez10: all roads lead to throne
JadedCynic: Beej, you KNOW how sewers work, right?
JadedCynic: I mean, they're not Garde robes
johnalogue: "Greetings from the sewers!"
r10pez10: "Locklear! You smell like shit!"
JadedCynic: oh my
beowuuf: wait... this is krondor???
johnalogue: waiting for that betrayal
beowuuf: i have come at an auspicious time
BusTed: The brazier is unnamed.
johnalogue: wait, is he Pug or Puq?
MaladyDark: ah yes the prince vs the mage.
JadedCynic: @beowuuf welcome to the Palace of Prince Arutha (see to left)
MaladyDark: PUG!
MAPBoardgames: *gasp*!
beowuuf: @JadedCynic thank you :)
electra310: The betrayal!
BusTed: rekt
johnalogue: yup he's pug
thraximore: eOugH
Juliamon: We made it! It's Chapter 2!
ElementalAlchemist: oh, hey, second chapter
MaladyDark: pug is ... a ridiculously powerful being in the setting.
CaptainSpam: Chapter 2! It really happened!
angryoptimist: Fireball beats Arrow, good to know.
snowmonkey99: His feet are an inch long in this dream?
JadedCynic: Well, crap; I...I....I don't know how to handle this - I don't feel comfortable with this?!?
naryankotiah subscribed at Tier 1. They've subscribed for 17 months, currently on a 17 month streak!
LRRbot: lrrSPOT Thanks for subscribing, naryankotiah! (Today's storm count: 181)
beowuuf: i hae the comfort of two more streams to watch after this...
JadedCynic: @angryoptimist well, PUG's fireballs...
thraximore: Oh, Truraniiii, don't you cry for meee
JadedCynic: "Tsu"?
ElementalAlchemist: I tried the name, too, and it's a real mouthful
ElementalAlchemist: It says "tsu" in the text, so yes
PixelArtDragon: Oh yeah, if the mordhel could make rifts the kingdom would be effed
ElementalAlchemist: "tsu"
JadedCynic: yeah, double-clicked, sadly
thraximore: oh, we're the betrayers? what a tweeest
beowuuf: ^
beowuuf: noooo, curse locklear known and non-betraying betrayal, we trained you! we clothed you!
PMAvers: What is this feeling? Progress? No, it is just bad soup.
JadedCynic: Locky had a job to do, bring Gorath to Arutha; it's done so he gets a new assignment...
johnalogue: When you're in a fantasy setting, don't blame unease on "bad soup" so easily.
beowuuf: soup? but these bowls must only hold salad! what evil curse have you wrought on us...
JadedCynic: Pug always did just find himself breaking long-held (but arbitrary) traditions ;)
johnalogue: What else could a small wooden bowl contain?
BusTed: I thought it said "Gaming"
beowuuf: card kingdom?
johnalogue: wait, this kingdom has no trademark laws?
johnalogue: People can just use names of existing organizations to fake legitimacy?
CaptainSpam: BOOM!
Arclight_Dynamo: Yoink!
MaladyDark: what?
beowuuf: we get all his stuff thank buddah
PixelArtDragon: I was wondering whether I should mention this...
JadedCynic: It's better when he had Owyn as a squire keeping the packs organized
CaptainSpam: We do not get his training, but we do get his stuff. And stuff is good.
chaostreader: Steal his supplies! Steal his supplies!
Arclight_Dynamo: So I totally missed it - where did Arutha send Locklear?
beowuuf: oh we lose owyb too?
CaptainSpam: We have no Owyn, it looks like.
beowuuf: but our baaaaaarding!
JadedCynic: Owyn returns to his studies - he got deputized
beowuuf: oh, nm, i was behind enough I didnt realise we got gorath up there too :D
beowuuf: upright man as in the amulet?
beowuuf: cool!
MAPBoardgames: I'm the best knight in all the kingdom! I'm level 3! ...Level 16 Gorath just stares at him.
beowuuf: to be fair gorath did just spend 2 years getting to kronder training :p
CaptainSpam: To be fair, Gorath isn't a knight of Krondor.
KeytarCat: to be fair~~
thebignarnar: oh my god I haven’t been watching this regularly and I just realized that this is based on the Feist books
JadedCynic nods
thebignarnar: oh my god
JadedCynic: its post rift-war
JadedCynic: heck, Raymand novelized it with "Krondor: the Betrayal"
beowuuf: maybe that was just the soup though
jamesk902: That's what you find in sewers yes.
thebignarnar: just never hooked up krondor with the feist krondor in my brain
Arclight_Dynamo: "Aw, dink! Locklear had the map!" Kappa
CaptainSpam: So without Owyn, we have no mage, and thus no Despair Thy Eyes. Could be tricky.
CaptainSpam: Oh, wait... is that kid going to stop us because we've got Jimmy the Hand in the party now?
beowuuf: despair thy eyes seemed to be mostly used to stop owyn getting ganked though :p
beowuuf: then ore important question is, who had the tuning forks?
TheMerricat: @LoadingReadyRun just in case it matters, the walkthrough site that we've been looking at has a different map for Chap 2 than Chap 1 for the seweres.
KeytarCat: can you run into the pits??
beowuuf: whew
CaptainSpam: Owyn just strolls on up, saying "Eyyyyyy!".
PixelArtDragon: @KeytarCat The pits are instadeath!
beowuuf: dude, owyn's been saving your hide for years now!
MAPBoardgames: Good point *stabs Owen*
thraximore: I also know like, thirty spells
thebignarnar: owyn makes some good points
DarkMorford: A nelf?!
beowuuf: this just turned in to smokey and the bandit?
Arclight_Dynamo: "I'm a mage, jackass. And much higher level than you. You oughtta thank me."
MAPBoardgames: I bet Owen can take this guy with just his stick.
Nuurgle: did James just quote Smokey and the Bandit?
CaptainSpam: "Man, Jimmy, you have no clue what Lockey, Gorath, and I saw these past couple years. We'll be fine."
PixelArtDragon: I think you can talk to Nivek now
chaostreader: Bard?
PMAvers: "So what is he?" "He says he's a.. elf." "A elf? Not a night elf? Or a high elf? Or a blood elf?" "Nope, just... a elf." "Weird."
beowuuf: @CaptainSpam james doens't realise how long they all were wandering, since locklear is probably embarrassed to admit how long it took to warn them :p
chaostreader: Is Jimmy our Barkerville friend? Is this where he’s been?
beowuuf: Becoming a knight is what jimmy had been doing all this time? that scans
beowuuf: the real reason gorath is pissed, he wantedto be the bard for a change
johnalogue: @PMAvers when they say "Panzer IV" and not "Panzerkampfwagen [many syllables of details] IV" you know they're a spy. Same principle applies
Arclight_Dynamo: What an unpleasant man.
PixelArtDragon: Want some rye? 'Course ya do.
JadedCynic: hmmmm...
CaptainSpam: Man, this guy belches a lot.
Arclight_Dynamo: "A landowning commoner?! We shall have to see to this!"
beowuuf: nivek the hand always carrying a stein :p
gkingrat: @PixelArtDragon *explodes*
JadedCynic: One would think Nivek would take to wine maybe - it seems beverages like ales and beer give him gas...
SirMorek: lrrBEEEJ is an ACTOR
JadedCynic: mine?
DEATHlikescats: that one grave behind the tavern
PixelArtDragon: I ain't afraid of no ghosts!
CaptainSpam: We are literally murdering this man with alcohol poisoning, aren't we?
electra310: I feel like we are assuming liability at this point
Arclight_Dynamo: This guy sucks. :D
electra310: Hopefully he will not try to drive home
JadedCynic: sewers?
JonnyGlitch: !uptime
LRRbot: The stream has been live for 3:02:24.
JonnyGlitch: Hi Beej! Hi Chat!
Arclight_Dynamo: Undertaker?
DarkMorford: undertaker?
asddsa28: pore guy
DEATHlikescats: The undertaker key under the sewers?
beowuuf: lrrWOW
JadedCynic: :D
thraximore: :D
JadedCynic: 'the day after' ;)
CaptainSpam: See, you should've waited until now to bard again. :D
JonnyGlitch: Just like your last conversation with a hungover James?
beowuuf: did he just sober up to a hangover in one minute?
JadedCynic: that 'one click' assumes a day passes maybe?
CaptainSpam: (I doubt it would've done anything different, but it'd still be funny)
PixelArtDragon: So fun fact, there's something at the beginning of chapter 6 that's different because of getting him drunk.
DEATHlikescats: nice!
DEATHlikescats: this GAME
JonnyGlitch: Hey look we're at the place!
JonnyGlitch: Who are we betraying?
JonnyGlitch: #BlameJames
hexy_lexy: hey nerds! reminder that i value and appreciate each and every one of you!

beowuuf: wow, northwarden was really as far from krondor as we could get!
Arclight_Dynamo: I suspect that chest I mentioned up north still has an emerald in it. You'd remember if you picked two emeralds and a diamond out of a box.
beowuuf: oh man, kenting rush was fun.
beowuuf: noise box?
JonnyGlitch: white dots are warp points?
Arclight_Dynamo: Do we want to have James read some books, too?
TheMerricat: White dot are temples I think @JonnyGlitch which are where we can teleport.
JonnyGlitch: milk...chest?
TheMerricat: Named after the answer to the riddle that locks the chest. :)
beowuuf: some hests are protected by riddles
JonnyGlitch: like, bewbs?
CaptainSpam: Huh, what's that brown dot way off to the west of the mountains?
JonnyGlitch: @CaptainSpam I was thinking the same thing!
CaptainSpam: Neat!
JonnyGlitch: That forest with the rivers and roads in the middle looks interesting
beowuuf: lol
JonnyGlitch: Ah I 'member that from the books!
TheMerricat: Siri is lonely Beej, talk to her more. :P
JonnyGlitch: Elvetown?
DEATHlikescats: hostile territory?
TheMerricat: More like Wildlands @DEATHlikescats not actively hostile but definitely not friendly.
DEATHlikescats: ah cool! thanks!!
JonnyGlitch: or you could just.... buy an emerald
TheMerricat: But where's the fun in that @JonnyGlitch :P
hexy_lexy: @TheMerricat YOURE lovely!
JonnyGlitch: @TheMerricat having the ability to solve problems by throwing money at it IS fun!
Arclight_Dynamo: It's the principle of the thing!
beowuuf: mad. bank.
TheMerricat: :D Thanks @hexy_lexy
xantos69: cheer50 Thanks Beej!
MAPBoardgames: didn't you sell a 1% emerald someplace so you could buy it for this reason?
JonnyGlitch: Ah I thought we needed a high quality emerald
beowuuf: thanks for streaming!
electra310: Good stream!
JonnyGlitch: Grats!
MAPBoardgames: 2 of 9.
TheMerricat: @MAPBoardgames that's the whole problem we can't find it now ;)
hexy_lexy: thnks for the stream, beej! <3 it was amazing, as always!
angryoptimist: Thanks! This was a healing stream.
beowuuf: @MAPBoardgames that was a ruby for selling?
JonnyGlitch: Thanks for the show Beej!
TheMerricat: Why hope they are fast? I want this to go at least as long as Paul's Death Stranding run. You and he are the two LRR folk we hardly ever get to interact with :)
TheMerricat: LOL
MAPBoardgames: Beej. You literally play video games for a living. https://i.redd.it/va21m9xrm8i21.jpg
Fanklok: I demand a new stream that is beej and Paul, just like doing things
TheMerricat: @Fanklok Adam Beej and Paul for a PIF style runtrhough of all the Zork games :D
beowuuf: it does :)
beowuuf: !schedule
LRRbot: Want to know what's coming up? Check out https://loadingreadyrun.com/live for an interactive schedule, or http://lrr.cc/schedule for a Google Calendar version.
CaptainSpam: Thanks for the stream, Beej!
beowuuf: night beej!
TheMerricat: Thanks for the stream Beej! :)
TheMerricat: Me too.
DEATHlikescats: I'm vaxed n wearing masks
Arclight_Dynamo: Flu season is mask season for me from now on.
DEATHlikescats: oh man. it's so nice I'm winter
MAPBoardgames: Wash strangers. Stay 6ft from your face. Don't touch your hands.
Juliamon: It's SO NICE not having gotten sick, also the decrease in pollution from everyone staying home has pollen in overdrive this year and masks are good for that too!
Blade_Tiger: Thanks for the stream Beej
TheMerricat: Chat, remember... you are all beautiful people. Stay safe, be well, and be happy!
beowuuf: so do i chain beej back to beej catch up or take a lrl break... decisions decisions...
DEATHlikescats: oh @juliamon I appreciate your accurate past tense used. it's lovely
beowuuf: night themerricat! lrrHEART
TheMerricat: @beowuuf 30 min breaks between 4 hour vods are always a good idea at least :)
TheMerricat: even if it's 1.5 times viewing speed :P
beowuuf: i watch beej at 1.5x speed, it's fiiiiiine :p
DEATHlikescats: apologies if that's weird. I just haven't heard "having gotten sick" in years @juliamon
beowuuf: darn, beat me, ok ok breaks are good
TheMerricat: :D
Juliamon: Before Covid my sister would get sick at least every other month, if not more, because she works retail. Her reaction to the 2nd vax dose was the first time since it started.
beowuuf: anyway, morning / night chat!
DEATHlikescats: to stretch, cycle fluids and deal with other life functions
TheMerricat: And night back at you @beowuuf :)
DEATHlikescats: g'night @beowuuf
Juliamon: DEATHlikescats No no, it's fine! I try to let my grammatical habits slide online since it's more normalized to be sloppy, but it's a hard habit to break.
TheMerricat: @Juliamon being retail in the next few months is going to be hell as all the folk start coming back into society with whatever mutated versions of their homebrew flus their bodies have cooked up.
Juliamon: TheMerricat Oh yeah. Thankfully she FINALLY got offered a full-time position (only took them 10 years of off-and-on part-time and on-call and being let go and rehired so they could reduce her hours) so she gets more paid sick leave and medical coverage
Juliamon: also Macy's hasn't lifted mask restrictions yet so good for them
TheMerricat: WOOT Congratulations for her and you then :)
