PixelArtDragon: Single engine? That's a completely different kind of flying, altogether!
WalrusOntheCourt: A PhD in thrust is too much work. I'm just going to marry into it.
Earthenone: hence the recuring LRL bit, the Thrust Doctors
KaminaDuck: @PixelArtDragon "That's a completely different kind of flying"

Electrodyne: Happy Regular Thrusty Day
LadyAiluros: But are they related to the Disk Doctors?
WalrusOntheCourt: Regular Thrust Day as opposed to Thrustmas?
Electrodyne: exactly
Lord_ZYRK: The thrust is stored in the nut
Driosenth: Ian, since LRRMans is on Assetto Corsa this year, is there a way to pull vehicle and race data from the game like cheetojack did last year? Or will we need to keep a manual spreadsheet like the first two years?
DrakoniteStreams: is the nut for mounting it?
Driosenth: Is that just a 10K pot?
floki4242: Ian has anyone told you that they're making the Cowboy Bebop soundtrack on vinyl
NathanJay_GA: is there a detente for reverse thrust?
ContingentCat: idol? the thrustmaster has a k-pop mode?

Cynderstone: Again, got distracted, what are we doing? Are we refurbing?
wedge_x: I had a chance to use a USAF F-4 simulator back when I was in the Civil Air Patrol. Jamming the throttle into full afterburner is super satisfying.
Simonark: We're entering a dream sequence
Juliamon: We can see from here, yeah
Greggleswong: 100 k per axis?
Vampiricsloth: converting from old school plugs to usb plugs @Cynderstone
DarkMorford: @Driosenth Yes and no. I have a data logging application for it, but we don't have a server set up for live tracking like last year. Once Ian's done racing I'll get the data dump from him and then we can do what we want with it.
DrakoniteStreams: I was too slow in buying a HOTAS. With FS2020 out now, they are getting more expensive to find :-/
Cynderstone: @Vampiricsloth Thank you <3
Vampiricsloth: so that the thrustmaster he has can be used on pc
DandyGeek: They're sold out, I just checked.
itomeshi: I'm curious about the plan - It has a joystick connector, so it's not like a simple RS232 to USB adapter.... arduino?
Cynderstone: Will there be an in-between board, or just a straight re-wire?
Vampiricsloth: i heard 3080's are sold out in most retailers too LUL
DarkMorford: @Driosenth So a Google spreadsheet would probably be good for tracking things as we go, but there will be full telemetry after the fact.

DrakoniteStreams: @WalrusOntheCourt nah. Put it this way: I worked on rhythm games. I wrote code for handling singing... but I'm pretty sure I'd get arrested for crimes against humanity if I tried to sing.
Alephred: Dr. Ian, is your ass prepared for LRRMans this weekend? :D
DrakoniteStreams: singing is a black art as far as I'm concerned

DrakoniteStreams: DrIan: Pro tip on crimping: it sucks. you're going to screw it up and hate it. That is normal. Good luck.
Electrodyne: I'll just trust everyone else
PixelArtDragon: @spluuga Electroswing can be phenomenal listening and also at the same time the most background of music depending on the quality

Juliamon: yes
onarampage: Does anyone else have trouble saying "Thrustmaster" with a strait face?
DrakoniteStreams: @TheWriterAleph yes
TheWriterAleph: thanks juliamon ;)
DrakoniteStreams: @onarampage "Thrustmaster hotas"
PixelArtDragon: @spluuga I find vaporwave to be very similar. There are some phenomenal tracks, and then a whole bunch that I can't tell apart.

Electrodyne: "Thrustmaster" was probably coined by people who got sick of hearing other people snicker when they mentioned they're "in the joystick business" at parties
serramarkov: That was supposed to be for the win.
PixelArtDragon: @spluuga Yep. There are like two synthwave tracks that I actually remember, and one of those is technically sovietwave.

onarampage: @egonomogo enemy of Parryman
EvanGrill: I have one of those in the box!

Driosenth: "Fun" fact, The 2.54 mm pitch "DuPont connector" offical name is "Mini-PV" and hasn't been made by DuPont in almost three decades. Berg Electronics originally made them before being bought by DuPont in 72. DuPont sold its electronics division in 93 to HM Capital.
Cynderstone: #FlashFact?
onarampage: Why is Thrustmaster not a Flash rouge?
PixelArtDragon: @spluuga I'll have to try that next time I have to walk anywhere, which is probably not going to be for a while
DrakoniteStreams: @Driosenth I haven't seen them called "Mini-PV". When I searched back their history a while back I found they'd gone through at least three companies that all just listed them under their company names.
Cynderstone: That's a crimpadoodle
Driosenth: Ian, can you zoom in on the insulation crimp ?
Spluuga: @PixelArtDragon yeah I d
Spluuga: feels you
korvys: Didn't you just read out instructs that said crimp until it opens automatically, and then you didn't?
Electrodyne: crimpasaurus
DrakoniteStreams: Ian: There are two crimp sections. one grabs the copper, one grabs the insulation.
DrakoniteStreams: very easy to accidentally crimp the front part as well with big crimpers :-/
Electrodyne: Stone Cold Crimpin
DrakoniteStreams: look at a fresh one, and you'll see two pairs of "fingers". both of those pairs need crimped over. your crimpers might do them both at once (mine do not)
Spluuga: wait you mean those things in molex connectors are duponts`?
Electrodyne: Someone get Ian a big hat with a feather and a shirt that says "Crimp Daddy"
DarkMorford: I've never used DuPonts, but I have a kit for the JST XH-series connectors and those are fiddly buggers, yeah.
DoktorNik: Evening!
PixelArtDragon: So I watched the Dune fanedit yesterday, having never seen Dune before (but having read it several times). It was a very good reminder that the 80's was a weeeeird time for sci-fi movies.
Driosenth: If you ant to know what a bad and good Dupont pin crimp looks like
Electrodyne: I'd like that photo marked SFW please
Spluuga: @PixelArtDragon I kinda like that movie even if it is a bit ruff xD

Driosenth: the dupont is weird and annoying in that the insulation crimp tines are offset
PixelArtDragon: @spluuga It was certainly an interesting experience, and it was nice to have a bit better of a basis for the memes than I had from just the books, but yeah, it's quite ruff.
siltyroach: Good evening! :)
capbarbosa2: hello
DrakoniteStreams: that is perfect
Driosenth: That is correct
MsCorvidae: what board is that? it looks like an arduino nano but shorter
Spluuga: @PixelArtDragon to be fair I haven't read the book. It's a project I haven't gotten around to..
DrakoniteStreams: (I've done a fair bit of wiring crimping)
ContingentCat: gone forever
Manae: Get a flashlight
Anexmedia: Thats almost as bad as finding guitar string trimmings
egonomogo: tfw the necessary tool is a kaiju
Manae: Using a light to focus on one area makes it much easier to find a dropped item
DrakoniteStreams: this is the authentic crimping experience
MsCorvidae: send out another one and watch it this time =p
DrakoniteStreams: up next: crimp flies out of crimper in random direction
Manae: Even in a well-lit room, limiting to "just in this circle of light" really helps scan
DarkMorford: That reminds me, I need to get one of those telescoping magnetic pick-up tools.
Anexmedia: I've got my giant harbor freight "im buying a used car and want to check for bondo" magnet for these jobs
DrakoniteStreams: this is just how crimping goes. it's a pain. these are actually designed for machine crimping anyways, which doesn't help
CrazyZonie: Ian, I love the graphics for Crimper Simulator 2020, but doesn't the gameplay loop seem a little repetitive?
Manae: The curse of crimping
Cynderstone: learning!
egonomogo: i never know what the hell ian is doing but i love these streams so damn much.
Driosenth: I got fed up with the insulation crimps on dupont pins, I crimp the wires with a tool and then fold over the insulation tines with a needle nose pliers
Manae: At least you pulled it out BEFORE installing it
PixelArtDragon: @crazyzonie When played right, the controls are tight
Electrodyne: RAAAR crimpasaurus eats another wire

PonderingElephant: Solder 'em instead?
CrazyZonie: Could strip a little more and fold the wire back onto itself, or you could solder them.
MWGNZ: time to rewire everything!
Driosenth: crimps should be good for 22 to 28 AWG
Anexmedia: I mean you bought the crimper, might as well get good with it
MsCorvidae: could you solder them to the crimping..thing?
DrakoniteStreams: When you break them off by bending back and forth, it can leave a lip that makes inserting them in the housing tough, you may need to clean that up
Manae: Does your stripper have a gauger on the back?
DrakoniteStreams: Looks like 26AWG wire. By my calibrated eye ;)
DrakoniteStreams: @MsCorvidae you don't want to do that as it adds a hard point nad makes the wire likely to break
DrakoniteStreams: 26 should be fine in "dupont" crimps
Electrodyne: Just crimp all 24 with butt connectors and encase the whole thing in a ball of epoxy
DrakoniteStreams: crimping can take some practice.
Anexmedia: this seems like one of those skills that has a bit of luck with it at first
vonmaxwell: focus you frick
DrakoniteStreams: in my experience, the correct slot to use on the crimpers is the one that seems like it is just a bit too small
Electrodyne: That's looks good... enough! :D
TheThromborax: Ian, do you have the magnification goggles shown on the most recent Mail Time?
Jelkimantis: what if you tin the wire before you crimp it?
Anexmedia: So as a side note, twitch is having a lovely issue where it keeps dropping the viewer count and then blasting it back up at random intervals and that's been amusing
Driosenth: looks like the connectors can span a range from 18-32 AWG, but typically comes in a 22-26 AWG variant
serramarkov: Crimping is an art.
DrakoniteStreams: those crimp jaws look too big for these. they look more like molex crimps (I could be wrong though)
TheThromborax: did you mislabel your wire ruiner?
Cynderstone: "should"
TwitchTVsFrank: "should"
Anexmedia: are you firmly grasping it?
CrazyZonie: Should and Is are two different words
SnackPak_: Hi everyone
TheThromborax: I once bought a ratchet set from Harbor Freight and some of them were Imperial and some were Metric and there was no rhyme or reason for it
Driosenth: I probably went through 200 to 300 dupont crimps before I could say I got good. I ruined probably half of thoses
DrakoniteStreams: Should should be the case but rarely Is.
Electrodyne: in a fight between Harbor Freight and Princess Auto, who would win?
Cynderstone: Home Depot
serramarkov: Who's the judge?
TwitchTVsFrank: princess auto they are royalty
TheThromborax: @electrodyne that's like asking who would win in a fight between Bigfoot and a Sasquatch
Driosenth: Can you zoon in on the crimp you just did?
serramarkov: If Beej is the judge, PA, all the way.
DrakoniteStreams: crimps take far more than 18 failed attempts before you get it passable
TheThromborax: Beej is too biased
jdkirkham03: out of the frame
The_Lesser_Gatsby: Crimpin' aint easy
TheThromborax: next do Crumping
Rynehawk: everytime I hear "crimping" I think Tastykake Krimpets, and man I want a butterscotch krimpet so bad now
kitsunestudios: Crimping? I thought this was about crunking. Dammit, I'm out of here... Kappa
PixelArtDragon: Maybe you should do short videos of your crimps. Call them "crimpshots"
kitsunestudios: Crimpmas with the Crumps.

TwitchTVsFrank: have you tried doubling the wire onto itself
thefileclerk: this is givng me flashbacks to when i was in electronics. the smell of sweat and solder flux
Ed25519: well in theory, there's no difference between practice and theory
thefileclerk: that is one hell of a crimper
PixelArtDragon: ENHANCE
CrazyZonie: @thefileclerk Funny, I remember smell of fried capacitors and resistors from the freshmen in the back of the class playing with the power supplies on the bench.
Driosenth: what are the engraving size markings on jaws?
thefileclerk: yeah, and the occasional pop noise that is the sound of a seniors final project giving him a full extra semester.
CrazyZonie: @thefileclerk Also, I need to point out that the teacher spent two months on teaching those same kids Power formula and Ohms law. I spent those same two months tutoring said kids. :(
Electrodyne: Continuity test on the meter
Electrodyne: oh yeah, this is what we're here for
DrakoniteStreams: looks like insulation is under both crimp sections, so won't work reliably, if at all
TwitchTVsFrank: ^
Nigouki: that looks very iffy because it's not clamping the bare wire so contact depends on fate
Driosenth: I think the connector is to crimpped too flat to fit inside the housing,
Rynehawk: we done with the tutorial boys! :)
DrakoniteStreams: Is very good progress. I still do that on occasion.
CrazyZonie: Ian, are you using a bamboo cutting board as a workbench?
SnackPak_: lrrHORN ?

Driosenth: check that it fits in the housing
wedge_x: cladding?
Electrodyne: du. du pont. du pont mich
Despoiler98: that plastic was a lie the whole time
Driosenth: DuPont is dead, all hail Dow
Simonark: Hey, we've got a LOT of reasons to be mad at Du Pont over the years....
SquareDotCube: not punting?

PsybrnetiCToasT: Shoutout to hemp based plastics

Simonark: He was OBSESSED with them, he tried to make a car out of them, he made a suit out of soybeans and you can see photos. Also, big fan of Hitler, but yeah, soybeans.
PsybrnetiCToasT: Model T was made of hemp fiberglass
Lord_ZYRK: CrazyZonie if someone won't pay *you* to take it, then nothing good is probably happening to it.
PsybrnetiCToasT: body was at least
Simonark: Amazingly, the newspaper article that accompanies the photo of Ford has the word "Crimp" in it.
PsybrnetiCToasT: @simonark and it all comes full circle lrrSPOOP
Spluuga: blood?
Simonark: The best detail is that he was so proud of his stupid soybean suit, and insisted on showing it off, getting his photo taken in it... it was apparently so itchy as to drive him to near madness, so at least that counts.
Adamantcheese: i would just say blood yeah, stabbing your finger on a particularly pointy solder joint
Driosenth: The crimp should be oriented such that the connector housing catches on the part of the square socket of the connector that makes contact with the pin
Rynehawk: all I know is crimpin' aint easy
Simonark: Crimp makes me think of the Mighty Boosh myself...
johnhelix: As someone who has lost more than a little blood to being stabbed by solder? Yeah, just blood.
niccus: straight crimpin'

Driosenth: needle nose
PixelArtDragon: Speaking of sustainable fibers, I should rewatch The Man in the White Suit
Mikklun: gripping tweezers?
MWGNZ: avoid tangling by spending 30 minutes doing a fancy braid with all the cables?

Nigouki: so it seems like this crimper is too big even at the smallest tooth since it flattens the insulation clamp instead of making it round?
letfireraindown: i don't recall the last time i used a serial port
CrazyZonie: I ran across them looking for an interal adapter for a USB 3.1 to USB 3.1 C for a front panel connector.
Adamantcheese: and if you ever need a serial port, there's plenty of spare Dell Optiplexes somewhere, rotting away in a warehouse
PixelArtDragon: Can you just hook up something to a serial port and have direct electronic control from your computer?
ritchards: Nicky-goo?
nanostul: I used one this morning
NotCainNorAbel: network engineer - still use one, although things are moving toward USB
letfireraindown: oh... actually some of the old printers in the UW still used serial ports.
Nigouki: neck-y goo is that mix of dirt, sweat and sunburnt skin flakes after working in the garden too long
CrazyZonie: Ian, I'm pretty sure the last time I used a serial port was more than 20 years ago... :(
DrakoniteStreams: If looking for good crimpers, IWISS are about US$20
letfireraindown: still ten years
Anexmedia: SCSI for days
Armyguy0: And they are part of a complete PC breakfast
Driosenth: I spent $100 USD on a universal crimp-tool with interchangeable jaws, I think I saved that much from the bad crimps it prevented.
Mikklun: Ian you would love m better half's father's workshop serial ports and all sort of other "old tech" he works in home automation and office automation
DarkMorford: @DrakoniteStreams Yeah, I got the IWISS SN-01BM about a year ago and it's worked well the couple of times I've needed it.
nanostul: USB can't do the lenghts I need to do...
DrakoniteStreams: I am slow and missed that. I can tweet it or if someone caught it?
Driosenth: @nanostul not even with an active cable?

DrakoniteStreams: ooh, I need an affiliate link, given how often I recommend stuff to people
DarkMorford: I've never actually looked into Amazon's affiliate link program. Should probably do that.

Mysticman89: how do you even find sketchy russian hackers? Aren't there less sketchy places you could put open calls for such things?
Master_Gunner: Well you don't have to worry about CH being bought out - they're a side project from an industrial control system company.
Lord_ZYRK: Mysticman89 where's the fun in that?
Adamantcheese: oh gross it opened up the PDF in Edge
Anexmedia: Chromium Edge is fine
Adamantcheese: i mean, it's basically Chrome under the hood anyways

Mysticman89: I think intelectually I've come to understand edge is actually fine, but it still has the IE taste to it
CrazyZonie: Google has gotten more market share... :(
DrakoniteStreams: no, edge is chromium based
Master_Gunner: yeah, I'm disappointed Edge dropped its own rendering engine.
DrakoniteStreams: edge was different, but MS gave up and switched to chromium
Mysticman89: the world needs more gaming browsers, like opera GX
Master_Gunner: Trident wasn't great, but it mostly worked, and was different.
Electrodyne: I'm from The Internet, and we dislike Internet Explorer
DrakoniteStreams: unpopular opinion: pre-chromium Edge, and even late IE, were decent browsers
SquareDotCube: Yeah, we could use a new web browser built from scratch.
Mysticman89: if they just named edge something not starting with E and gave it a different logo entirely, it'd probably go over better
e_bloc: the problem for me is IE drove me to firefox then chrome and now I don't feel like leaving chrome for another browser
DrakoniteStreams: people like to hate on MS, even when they do good things
e_bloc: chrome isn't perfect but it sure is fine
CrazyZonie: People see Microsoft as big bad from how they were in the 90's, despite Apple, Google, Facebook, and Amazon doing way worse and getting away with it.
Master_Gunner: Agreed, Drakonite. I used IE11 and Edge extensively for work, and they were always fine and performed as I expected.
aquinas_0: i'm sticking with firefox

DrakoniteStreams: eww. is this the best tool out there right now?
aquinas_0: @Mysticman89 Oh, please don't
Driosenth: Ian, could you say "Moose and Squirrel" in that accent?
aquinas_0: we're headed right back into the IE6 dark age, as a web dev it makes me cry
Mysticman89: I might also just roll with multiple browsers
DarkMorford: I'm still a Firefox guy. Haven't been able to find a tab-group plugin for Chrome that works the way I want it to.

Mysticman89: just get rolling witht netscape
togashinaruta: i honestly miss Safari for windows
DeM0nFiRe: The android version of firefox recently changed in dumb ways, I am so annoyed by it
Adamantcheese: then you crack open an XP VM and open up IE6
aquinas_0: @DeM0nFiRe you can get the url bar back up top, no fix for the resorted bookmarks or the missing about:config yet
Electrodyne: Do you have some Crimson Skies to test it?
DarkMorford: @DeM0nFiRe Yeah, I got a new Android tablet about a month ago. Downloaded Firefox and couldn't find shit.
DrakoniteStreams: Oh no. I've been working for an I don't know number of hours without running my time tracking software
Electrodyne: "Apparently you haven't" - @drakonitestreams's employer
Electrodyne: I share your bad feels, buddy
SquareDotCube: Into the future?
nanostul: If I told you - you have a beautiful wire, would you hold it against me?
DrakoniteStreams: @Electrodyne fortunately it's only for my internal use, and I report just number of hours to my clients. I very strictly would never agree to using any tracking software from a client or employer.
delta__vee: no, it takes longer than that :D
Electrodyne: oh good!
DarkMorford: Win+P, Ian
DrakoniteStreams: P for Projector, which was original marketing intent of switching displays around dynamically

Arclight_Dynamo: Brain too fried for joke. Me enjoy LRR. You folks good.
LRRbot: lrrSPOT Thanks for subscribing, Arclight_Dynamo! (Today's storm count: 88)
DarkMorford: P for "Project". It opens a drawer on the side of the screen for quick switching.
Rynehawk: all crimp and no play make Ian a dull boy....
Lord_ZYRK: There is only darkness now. Embrace the void.
Electrodyne: yeah can we crimp more connectors if this doesn't work?
delta__vee: from going frame by frame in the VOD, the last upload attempted exited with our old friend ' "W:\MM_Joy2\eex\firmware\firmware_lufa_[MMJOY_ATMEGA32U4].hex: No such file or directory'
ContingentCat: hello darkness my old friend...
DarkMorford: Also, Ian, I have a build of the logger for this weekend to send you after the stream. If you could play a bit with it running tonight or tomorrow just to make sure it can connect and doesn't crash, that'd be great.
ContingentCat: wow
korvys: W is for Wumbo
MWGNZ: waluigi drive?
Raiger: W for WHYYYYYY
Master_Gunner: People with 23 hard drives, obviously.
Juliamon: for "what, why?"
ContingentCat: w for Wahh
Mysticman89: W for whatthehell
eric_christian_berg: Ian, you magnificent bastard. I read your BIOS!
Electrodyne: Everything is possible with Wumbocom
Craqgerbil: when I add hard drives I start with Z and work backward
GreayStone: w= why
Lord_ZYRK: I thought that was weird in delta__vee's post, but chalked it up to Ian being Ian LUL
Raiger: Honestly...same, Lord_ZYRK
WalrusOntheCourt: How do you NOT have a W drive? You sound like a man with less than 16 drives...
DarkMorford: I letter my drives based on what I'm using them for. M is music, V is virtual machines, G is games...
Anaerin: WalrusOntheCourt Mount Points.
BernyyGG: ahh yes, the Marvel Cinematics Universe port
Mysticman89: oh, theres inevitably dark tech wizards here, does anyone know if the concept of negative file size exists?
Lord_ZYRK: Just as a note: I am here explicitly for the Digimon references.
DrakoniteStreams: alright, enough pretending to work for now. I'll be back after my commute out of this office
DarkMorford: I do wish Windows/NTFS had better support for mounting volumes in the filesystem instead of giving them drive letters, though. It works, but not as well as I'd like.
Lord_ZYRK: Last time I downloaded more RAM my browser read it as a negative file size Kappa
MWGNZ: z is normal for thrust i think?
Mysticman89: I don't recall why the notion ever crossed my mind, but I could maybe see some unholy hackery where something is set as a negative file size to do something
ContingentCat: !advice
LRRbot: You passed it.
DrakoniteStreams: whew, oaky. long commute is over
DarkMorford: @Mysticman89 If you have a really dumb filesystem that uses a signed value for size, then it's possible, but I can't say whether it would necessarily have any ill effect.
Electrodyne: @drakonitestreams how was the traffic
DrakoniteStreams: @Electrodyne didn't see a single car. which is good. Really don't need another car crashing through the side of my apartment building anytime soon
MWGNZ: negative file size might do something similar to a buffer underflow where you can overwrite the file 'before' the one you have open, depending on how well filesystems are coded
Mysticman89: one of the use cases for such a concept probably is intentionally nefarious. A less sketchy use might be to make folders look like they have less stuff in them than they really do
DarkMorford: "Save sets to device" is top-center in the UI, but it's disabled. Either the program isn't finding your Teensy or you need to select it somehow.
Electrodyne: "$" = "Capital 4"
DrakoniteStreams: teensy? I thought he was using a pro micro?
ContingentCat: show me potato salad!
DarkMorford: @Drakas Same chip, same firmware, different PCB. Don't even worry about it.
Electrodyne: [X]
DarkMorford: Oops. @DrakoniteStreams, sorry
Lord_ZYRK: Y'know, now that I'm looking at the UI closer, it has Joystiñk over to the right there.
ContingentCat: is it shy?
MWGNZ: Lord_ZYRK there's also the USBDeview button bottom right
Driosenth: does it expect a 10K pot?
Lord_ZYRK: MWGNZ I saw that one, but it doesn't seem quite as comical.
DrakoniteStreams: @DarkMorford oh, forgot the teensy 2.0 was a 32u4. literally the only teensy board I haven't used (or have on order. haven't received the 4.1 for my synth project yet)
DarkMorford: Nah, that one just launches a tool called USBDeview. It's for viewing the connected USB Devices, oddly enough. ;)
BassArpeggio: Do you have a link to notes or logs on this project? I am attempting something similar but not as far along as you are.
ContingentCat: ooo numbers!
DarkMorford: Ian, maybe try the "Direct Input Viewer" button on the bottom? Might show you exactly what the pins are seeing.
MWGNZ: BassArpeggio reddits /r/HotasDIY may also be of help
Manae: Is the LRR wiki kept up to date on episodes? Might be easier to find a specific VOD there
DarkMorford: Ah, nuts. Worth a shot, I guess.
delta__vee: what was that image you had with the pins?
BassArpeggio: Thanks! I am stuck on finding the right firmware to flash my chip. I'm a hardware guy and don't know much about programming.
korvys: Ian, did I ever send you the Ars Technical article about the polish guy who custom makes flight pedals, where you have to *wire transfer* him $500 to order?
korvys: *Ars Technica
DarkMorford: What's the voltage on the Power pin? And which pins on the pot are connected where?
CrazyZonie: So, Ian, now long do you make a custom cockpit?
MWGNZ: korvys those are some good looking pedals
Master_Gunner: Korvys, I remember that from looking at flight sticks and stuff years ago. Crazy stuff, but apparently it's a good product.
DarkMorford: Also, do you know specifically what model Teensy that is? Pinout might be slightly different from the Arduino.
DarkMorford: Ah, okay then.
Mysticman89: I should get in habit of reading ars more regularly, I think most of the interesting articles im linked come from there
DarkMorford: This diagram is confusing me. A lot of the pins labeled as "Axis source" (the A[xx} ones) are digital pins. They can't read analog signals, so how can they process a joystick axis?
eric_christian_berg: It's been doing that since you loaded, actually.
Dumori: N U M B E R S
Lord_ZYRK: Since when? Kappa
eric_christian_berg: Wondering when you'd notice. :)
DeM0nFiRe: LUL
CrazyZonie: Sounds like a corporate chant "We have values!"
SquareDotCube: Are are they at a village?
Adamantcheese: u did it champ
tipulsar85: Ready for Saturday?
eric_christian_berg: lrrCREEPL lrrCREEPR
CrazyZonie: You still have to mount the USB port to the case.
LiveFaust: So it's become adequately crispy for today?
CrazyZonie: Unless you're going to make the cable part of the build.
eric_christian_berg: Duct tape!
eric_christian_berg: (I'm helping.)

Nigouki: thanks for the stream!
delta__vee: @DarkMorford, the pinout in sparkfun's overview gives a better idea of the overloaded functions of the different pins
Texan_Reverend: Really looking forward to the 24 Hours of LRRMans again this year, Ian. Big hype!
DoodlestheGreat: See you this Saturday, Ian!
Driosenth: 5 AM
Driosenth: Race fast safe car #Teampalindrome
