Anexmedia: Yea they confirmed what his bonuses were right after the dust settled form the layoffs
frankscx: let's not tell Graham how much territory the giant Australian spiders have gained while the humans have all been inside
ashteranic: probably reasonable to assume thatp rogram will keep up for at least the better part of the next year
djalternative: oh. he got a bonus for firing people?
WalrusOntheCourt: Honestly, I am seeing you a lot more on Twitch and Youtube over the last year than I did any other year. Which is nice.
Hexi_Lexi: @LoadingReadyRun are there any conventions in Toronto that LRR would ever consider in the future?
Xenotechie: in the trade, this is referred to as "a whole lotta dollarydoos"
Sandeon: a 2-drop that's two drops
EvilBadman: Also, yeah the fired Blizzard employees got $200 Bnet Cash (and health care until end of year)
Favre_Studios: 200 million bonus
orellien2773: His contract gave him a bonus based on the increased stock price of AB. He didn’t get a bonus as a result of the layofffs.
nimrickz: fan expo toronto
NarishmaReborn: Tell them "LoadingReadyRun sent me. GuestThemPlease"
warboss5: You went to Detroit? I'm sorry :(
MadWolf1290: Chicago?
Xenotechie: I think you just swing in, it's still a 2 for one
orellien2773: @evilbadman Also 3 months of salary.
hippitybobbity: magic the gathering I see
rocketjohn: stock prices often go up after layoffs, because costs are going to go down. Just saying.
djalternative: you mean Chicago, right?
Hexi_Lexi: Fan Expo and a MagicFest are probably the most likely, me thinks
asthanius: @orellien2773 That makes it worse.
xantos69: You went to Detroit...like on purpose?
FiliusRomanus: Day-twah
EvilBadman: @orellien2773 Oh. Cool. What a good and cool company.
djalternative: I don't remember Detroit.
BoohneyRabbit: Yo I sent yall an email asking advice streaming and got a really lovely response! Just wanted to show my appreciation LIVE

WalrusOntheCourt: Detroit? So, what, Cleveland is next right? :-)
Xenotechie: oh right, butcher +1/+1s on damage, not attack, my bad D:
orellien2773: @asthanius It makes it... better and worse. He didn’t lay people off to get a bonus, is the point. Its just ridiculous that AB is still laying people off when they’re being so successful.
Anexmedia: No one Cleveland's on purpose
EvilBadman: Not even Drew Carey
FiliusRomanus: What a good and cool game
Anexmedia: Speaking Drew Carey, excellent pandemic beard that man is rocking now
asthanius: @orellien2773 It means they laid people off in spite of increased stock prices, signifying success, signifying NOT to lay people off
Syphilicious: stock prices more likely went up because of a global pandemic that cause many people to stay home and play video games rather than for anything Kotick did, which is part of the controversy since it's questionable he did anything to "deserve" it
ritchards: 9 round clock!

HundreydAundre: I prefer Arena's awareness of lag/stuttered/connection friction so that it keeps from timing out too often, please?
drdudeman: did there used to be an extension for arena that let watchers mouse over the cards?
Countjondi: you 100% cruelty it
Countjondi: it could go sooooo bad if you don't
vargasbball3: yes kill it
martian_kyo: def kill it
orellien2773: @asthanius Yeah, it is stupid that they’re laying people off, fully agreed. It just irks me that people are spreading the “Kotick got a bonus for laying a bunch of people off”, because its clearly not the case. It’s like “Be angry at them for the right reasons please!”
ritchards: Agatha Fisty tomorrow!!

biosimicist: then they go to two
djalternative: correct
HundreydAundre: Even w/ Ob, they draw it back on their turn, crapp'd..
shellm4nn: third from the top
Zappeljakob: nope, first the ob draw, then it gets 3rd
Jondare: but then you ob it again and they die
asthanius: the next turret ogre will help a lot
Sandeon: I think thy draw 2 before it goes into
ArcOfTheConclave: no they draw and then it is tucked

elah806: Oddly, the spice isn't actually what I mind - I keep trying to enjoy all forms of curry, but somehow I struggle with coconut, peanut, and cinnamon in savory contexts, and I generally don't care for cumin. As far as I'm aware that pretty much rules out curry

SmithKurosaki: thanks for muting that
KeytarCat: That was compressed to nothing for us :P
EvilBadman: We didn't hear any of it, thankfully
Anubis169: it's called a suribachi
Lord_ZYRK: spawnofhastur they do. I don't remember what it's called, but the mortar is usually unglazed ceramic with lines etched in it, and the pestle is wood

spawnofhastur: @TheMerricat they're all the same to a large degree, but the materials and shaping can have a big effect on how the pestle works with certain ingredients.
noSmokeFire: we call that inductive reasoning
Anubis169: noSmokeFire: Pun foul, 2min in the box
Anubis169: GET IN manRAGE
Loonatic93: I'm fine with electric ranges in general. But not with a glass top.
drdudeman: gas stoves have a pilot light?
DrakoniteStreams: gas stove top shouldn't have a pilot light, they light when you turn them on
rocketjohn: Gas stoves in the uk have electric ignition
Anubis169: gas stoves don't have pilot lights, only gas ovens
Anubis169: and only really old ones
spawnofhastur: Serious Eats did a test on comparing a thai style mortar and pestle compared to an italian one for various dishes and the difference was pretty notable.
Loonatic93: Modern Gas Stoves have a spark ignition system.
electra310: Heh, my son came in to see what I was watching and yelled "Richter, Richter, Richter!"
rocketjohn: Yeah, leccy oven with gas hob is my prefered combo
tehfewl: its not cooking if you don't make a mess
Anubis169: ya, like an electric arc for lighters
noSmokeFire: thank you for receiving that pun in the manner it was intended
iris_of_ether: Ooh, spicy toasting~
gsyhiap: What Anubis said. As a gas hob user for many years, I was like "pilot light?!"
electra310: He loves QWERPline so much :D
raaabr: A melange of spices is a wonderful phrase

Lord_ZYRK: gsyhiap my apartment has them
drdudeman: What is that whitish looking rectangle in the spices?
Anubis169: gsyhiap: I'm just getting used to our gas hob, we got an electric oven but a gas top and it's SO responsive <3
jerseygrrrrl: "A Melange of Spices" = the name of your next album
Chipton: Wouldn't Spice Melange Curry just taste like cinnamon and poison?
DrakoniteStreams: @drdudeman bay leaf, with light blown out
TheMerricat: I wonder if you can toast spices in a convection oven without blowing them all around the inside....
Anubis169: Ian: What's the rectangle cardboard thing in the pan? Nori?
jibkat: WHAT IS THIS SORCERY AND HOW CAN I GET IT INTO MY FACE
TheMerricat: @Anubis169 bay leaf
gsyhiap: Lord_ZYRK - for the burners? I'm not even sure that would be allowed here in the uk
ArdCollider: I was informed with the utmost gravity once by a 14-year-old kid at my broadsword class that the spice melange is orange soda and crystal meth.
Bobtheninjagoldfish: Spice Melange is my Spice Girls cover band.
gsyhiap: Anubis169 - I know, right?
ArdCollider: a senior boy at her school had told her that. it was obviously true.
rocketjohn: that looks huge for a bay leaf yeah
Anubis169: square melons, square bayleaves, oh Japan Kappa
spawnofhastur: i'd be tempted to put all my spices in the pan and then blowtorch them.
iris_of_ether: BayStrip(tm)
SnackPak_: a giant bay leaf
Anexmedia: Just remember to do it dry
Lord_ZYRK: gsyhiap yep, two pilot lights for the burners and one for the oven
Basic_Human_Decency: it's just the pokemon.
Anubis169: (i kid)
iris_of_ether: Agreed! Just be *very careful* when you toast dried peppers. Speaking from experience.
jerseygrrrrl: I bet that smells aaaaaaaamazing
HydraWiggins: pop pop pop😭
Loonatic93: If that Bay Leaf was any bigger, it'd be a Meganium!
DrakoniteStreams: watching you cook is a good distraction from working. also it's making me hungry.
spawnofhastur: because using a blowtorch makes cooking way more fun.
iris_of_ether: (We were coughing for hours whoooooops)
jibkat: Sorry, my last line was a typo. What I meant to ask is there A recipe I could follow along?
drdudeman: I think a blowtorch would burn your spices too quickly
spawnofhastur: drdudeman most probably
DrakoniteStreams: do we need to bring our own rice bowls, or do you have enough for everyone?
TehAmelie: a short wok to dinner, eh
Basic_Human_Decency: just pour everclear over it and light it Kappa
KeytarCat: Do they pop like popcorn?
drdudeman: I love Ians outfit!
Anexmedia: I dont know if the quotes were for the "Italian" part of that or the "seasoning" part
SmithKurosaki: is it the propulsion?
TheMerricat: @jibkat https://www.sonokosakai.com/shop/curry-brick-kit is where Ian got the kit and https://cooking.nytimes.com/recipes/1020451-japanese-curry-brick is the recipe that the kit was based on.
jerseygrrrrl: I totally thought you were going to say "let me find my blowtorch and show you"
jibkat: Thanks!
jerseygrrrrl: but italian herbs are good, too!
Loonatic93: Blowtorches make me hungry for Creme Brulee.
Bobtheninjagoldfish: blowtorches are pinpoint heat toasting needs diffused heat
SmithKurosaki: I mean, that would be peak Ian jersey
spawnofhastur: @jerseygrrrrl bingo
electra310: Brrrrrrr
DrakoniteStreams: :D
RandomTrivia: Welp
ContingentCat: katesLol
Anexmedia: I'm not shocked it was easier to find a blowtorch than a spice in that kitchen
iris_of_ether: Oh no!
gsyhiap: LUL
KaminaDuck: oh nooooo
TehAmelie: i confess i figured the challenge would be how to make use of a 1500 watt toaster in the proceedings
SmithKurosaki: there we go
RandomTrivia: benginFacepalm

Hexi_Lexi: "Blow is the operative word" Ian Horner (2021)

aiamethyst: it's very nice
iris_of_ether: Nice and clean setup!
Bluedevyl: My sous vide circulator is arriving tomorrow! I'm so excited!
gsyhiap: So now we're making lightly Italian-spiced Japanese curry?
Anubis169: Lord_ZYRK: I found the legislation for UK, no boilers and other devices are made with them anymore... 1) safety, and 2) just having a pilot light on the boiler is £80/year down the drain
EvilBadman: @Bluedevyl Nice! They're so much fun to use
SmithKurosaki: nah, that was for demonstration of blowtorch gsy
iris_of_ether: :O *
gsyhiap: SmithKurosaki - I'm aware
Hexi_Lexi: ALWAYS wash your rice, chat! trust me
Uzumaki15: TIL you should wash your rice
TheMerricat: I'm so glad that LRR has a 'cooking' stream like this now and then. I just wish I was better at timing my stuffing face with food times to be along with it.
Basic_Human_Decency: no
TehAmelie: 100 yen store? funky. here in sweden we call them dollar stores
spawnofhastur: Uncle Roger is proud of you Ian.
jerseygrrrrl: sake box?
Anexmedia: Like potatoes, always gotta get the starch off your rice
Anubis169: 1 go?
Loonatic93: I know to wash Wild Rice. But why brown/white rice?
spawnofhastur: i've had a cocktail served in a go.
Anubis169: that's still a standard?
iris_of_ether: They are also dollar stores in the States. :)
Anubis169: neat!
jibkat: Can I have 1 koku worth of rice?
TheMerricat: Always wash your rice unless it's prewashed. Which you can get, but you'd know if you did.
Basic_Human_Decency: also its not just starch powder
spawnofhastur: @Loonatic93 gets the excess starch off and makes it cook better.
teavian: 1合
Anubis169: jibkat: Only if we get to deliver it to your doorstep in one lump
Anubis169: you don't get a choice
jibkat: How else would you deliver it?
HydraWiggins: the starch also holds a hard to kill bacteria
Anubis169: through your letterbox, but we're not that cruel :P
TehAmelie: hmm what rice would the decadent man eat?
SmithKurosaki: wait... Japanese home town?
Anubis169: yeah they love their decimals
TheMerricat: Not only does washing the rice remove starches but depending on your source of rice they may still have pesticides and what not on them.
Loonatic93: *shrug* Never had problem with cooking rice. But that's probably because I just use a food steamer for cooking.
Lord_ZYRK: There's actually a good vid on YouTube for when you may want to and not want to wash your rice
Anubis169: they also use the 24h clock
spawnofhastur: is brown rice eaten much in japan?
Basic_Human_Decency: rice is polished with stone and they leave the powder on the rice
Hexi_Lexi: @Anubis169 so the proper way? :p
Anubis169: yup
teavian: 2401/13,310 Liters Kappa
jibkat: Mr Sparkles brand rice
DrakoniteStreams: @Loonatic93 lots of things you can do to improve rice, but also quite difficult to completely screw it up IMO
Hexi_Lexi: @Anubis169 glad we're on the same page
spawnofhastur: my favourite rice fact is that rice actually grows just fine out of water, it just turns out that growing it in water/paddies, it makes it a lot easier to weed etc.
TehAmelie: you know, Napoleon the conqueror said, "countries may change their shape and owners, but the metric system will endure", or some words along those lines
Anubis169: so here's a question... do you wash your rice before or after you've boiled it?
TheWriterAleph: until your rice gets mad
iris_of_ether: "The character for koshi (越) is used to represent the old Koshi Province, which stretched from present-day Fukui to Yamagata. Koshihikari can be translated as "the light of Koshi"." - Wikipedia
SmithKurosaki: yea I have basmati I have to soak for like 30 mins at minimum and then rinse it
Anexmedia: This trick also works great for making homemade hashbrowns
spawnofhastur: Before @Anubis169 or Uncle Roger will be sad
Hexi_Lexi: THIS is why you ALWAYS wash your rice, chat
Basic_Human_Decency: before unless raw is used
Anubis169: ima try this tomorrow
Anubis169: manAWW
Loonatic93: I know we wash Wild Rice here because there are frequently little stones and other foreign and lake borne substances in it. Even after packaging.
TehAmelie: Uncle Ben's individualistic non-sticky American rice, man, what were they thinking
Hexi_Lexi: @Anubis169 you wont regret it. it will 100% taste better, id put money on that
SmithKurosaki: and the rice will be larger probably
DaSunao: I need to get my elephant rice cooker back. I still don't know how to read it, but I can push the big button and it makes rice.
Anubis169: normally I boil the rice, drain it, then wash in the sieve with boiling water while agitating with a fork
spawnofhastur: yeah that's one of those diminishing returns things.
ContingentCat: I like using a extra reusable mesh produce bag to wash rice in so I don't lose any
Anubis169: loses all the cloudy stuff, but this way looks like it makes more sense
Hexi_Lexi: behold the power of the science!!
kenohki2: Time for the Suihanki
Hexi_Lexi: (kuddos if you get my reference)
LurkerSpine: Insta-pot also works for rice cooking
iris_of_ether: @Hexi_Lexi I LOVE Suikoden!
Loonatic93: Or just any sort of food steamer with a bowl.
Basic_Human_Decency: we just use our finger wrinkle here...
Anubis169: nice floor pattern
DrakoniteStreams: when I learned to make sushi, they suggested soaking the rice for a bit.. while others have claimed essential to dry it thoroughly. seems to be differing thoughts out there on it
noSmokeFire: pressure cookers: also good at rice
jerseygrrrrl: @LurkerSpine yep yep
rocketjohn: Anubis169 my mother does rice the way you do, and it tends to break up the cooked rice more.
raaabr: Grind that spice!
Hexi_Lexi: @iris_of_ether OMG THANK YOU FOR GETTING IT
TheThromborax: won't you take me to.....Grindo Town!
RealGamerCow: Grindo Marx?
Anubis169: rocketjohn: Ya, learned that way from my mum
drdudeman: I am a little surprised Ian has a knife block and not one of those magnetic strips
Hexi_Lexi: @iris_of_ether literally NONE of my friends have played suikoden
Anubis169: can't hear anything Ian
iris_of_ether: @Hexi_Lexi That is a travesty :O
TheMerricat: I have a microwave operated rice cooker/steamer but it's not that great. I'd definitely recommend getting a dedicated ricecooker if you make rice more than once a moon.
Hexi_Lexi: RIGHT?!
Loonatic93: That Compressor is pretty darn good!
rocketjohn: compressor is dealing with it
rocketjohn: mostly
spawnofhastur: @DrakoniteStreams I've read that in the best sushi joints in Japan, the rice is the main distinguishing factor - pretty much every good place will have top quality seafood, but how much they vinegar/how they treat their rice is where the differences shine through.
Anubis169: holy mic distortion batman!
RandomTrivia: The noise gate is doing a lot of work here
KeytarCat: Compressor putting in WORK
TehAmelie: i'm led to understand any Asian kitchen master worth their salt who cooks rice all day long will use the exact same recipe for all of it, except if the rice is old they'll use a bit more water to soften it up
jerseygrrrrl: Ian it's coming toward you!
jerseygrrrrl: RUN
PigmyWurm: yeah the sound is just like "nope"
RandomTrivia: Wait, compression, not noise gat
TheThromborax: good GAWD
Anubis169: compressor working overtime
Bobtheninjagoldfish: NOT ANYMORE
RandomTrivia: The other one LUL
Hexi_Lexi: #BlessCompressor
Bobtheninjagoldfish: MAWP
TheMerricat: Spice blender noise is fine, but you were muddled as heck :P
gsyhiap: Compressor is the MVP of this stream
Aenir798: The sound has left the building
genericnerdygamer: its like an aggressive rustle
KeytarCat: My food processor is too loud for me :(
DrakoniteStreams: @spawnofhastur the word "sushi" actually refers to rice, not fish
Anubis169: noisegate melting...
NotCainNorAbel: I just learned my SO got a promotion!
NarwhalsInATrenchcoat: @NotCainNorAbel ayy, nice going by them
KeytarCat: @NotCainNorAbel Yoooo! PrideHeyyy
LurkerSpine: Nice
Enmity777: congrats to them @notcainnorabel
Anubis169: NotCainNorAbel congrats to your SO <3
techstorm45: may have to get out the ole mortar and pestle
SnackPak_: the secret tech is shaking while the blade is spinning
spawnofhastur: @DrakoniteStreams aye, I know.
TheMerricat: lrrSIGNAL WOOT WOOT! lrrSIGNAL Congratulations to you and them! @NotCainNorAbel
TehAmelie: mortar combt!
Hexi_Lexi: @iris_of_ether we should talk suikoden at some point. my dm's on discord are always open
corefluxx: the spice must flow
TehAmelie: combat!
NotCainNorAbel: Thanks all. They have worked very hard.
Lord_ZYRK: The spice must go
DrakoniteStreams: that jap branded rice seemed to have way less powder coating it than what I normally buy. takes me many passes to clean mine
spawnofhastur: Have you ever cooked yakitori, Ian?
Loonatic93: Mortar and pestle. Great for both the kitchen and the pharmacy!
spawnofhastur: @DrakoniteStreams "jap" is technically a slur by the way so...
jibkat: And for the battlefield
jerseygrrrrl: @Loonatic93 And old-timey photos!
iris_of_ether: @Hexi_Lexi I'm somewhat of a Discord ninja, but I'll definitely send you some pics of a Perler bead commission I did like 2 years ago that's topical :D
Chipton: That's a small mortar for that pestle
Godeke: I thought it was supposed to be a very small amount and circular motions.
chronically_poor: making your own is fun
Hexi_Lexi: @iris_of_ether YES PLZ
Lord_ZYRK: Keep the pestle against the mortar and stir
raaabr: My experience is using a coffee grinder for spice grinding instead
Loonatic93: God has is own set.
LadyAiluros: Alton Brown recommends a coffee grinder for spices
jylld: I visited a few thrift stores and bought the biggest mortar and pestle I could find
electra310: I use a coffee grinder too
ContingentCat: the shipping to God takes a while
PhorrestGaze: biggest mortar and pestle is best mortar and pestle
Anubis169: Ian: Best place to look is actually charity shops, the ones in there are real workhorses
jerseygrrrrl: +1 for coffee grinder
gsyhiap: Send them to Ian, Oh God, Canada.
Godeke: My wife just voted coffee grinder. She is the cook around here .
RealGamerCow: deep, not wide for mortar and pestles, and stone, not wood or ceramic
Anubis169: or a coffee grinder
Elevation_4000_FT: I got one at Target that works really well. Its granite and really heavy
TheMerricat: I was blown away by the fact that in Japan they actually have coin operated rice polishing machines just sitting in parking lots and what not in areas where folk harvest rice.
KeytarCat: A genuine Molcajete?
electra310: I have two coffee grinders for when I need lots of spices. :D
Anubis169: they're goldmines
GhosteEye: I feel like one of those little nut choppers would work really well for this
gsyhiap: It's a real grind, eh, Ian?
TehAmelie: this one one area where the English has failed to produce a tool with the simplest possible name, along the lines of level, plane or plumb. what you all call "mortar and pestle" we call "mortel"
raaabr: Coffee grinders are small enough and blend at high enough speed that they get all the spices into a fine powder
electra310: A coffee grinder can be had at a thrift store for a couple dollars
NotCainNorAbel: I have been using a mortal/pestle for 10 years for black pepper: the trick is to just lightly smash all of the bits and then 'stir'
Lord_ZYRK: TehAmelie they're frequently just referred to as a mortar
PigmyWurm: the only time I have used a mortar and pestle was when making gunpowder in Chemistry. YOU do have to be careful when doing so
Basic_Human_Decency: a turkish coffee grinder
RealGamerCow: that pestle is way too small for that mortar
Anubis169: what about a hand coffee grinder?
DrakoniteStreams: the mortar and pestle are technically two different tools used in tandem, hence the two names
TehAmelie: ah, but then you can confuse them with the artillery weapon
Anubis169: not the electric ones
spawnofhastur: I'm kind of atavistic in general so I like mortar and pestles.
DrakoniteStreams: "no unitaskers" "buy a rice cooker"
KeytarCat: Molkajete has the x/h pronunciation in the middle
electra310: Self toasting! :D
KeytarCat: in case that wasn't intentional :P
jibkat: Dont you know what yo can cook in a rice cooker KeytarCat
Anubis169: molka 'het-teh'?
KeytarCat: uh
Loonatic93: Nothing is a "unitasker" if you have an imagination!
jibkat: Its more then rice!
electra310: You can also use a coffee grinder to grind dry oatmeal for an oatmeal bath if you have itchy skin.
spawnofhastur: What about a thai style mortar and pestle, Ian?
KeytarCat: @Anubis169 that's close enough, according to a white guy reading wikipedia!
jerseygrrrrl: I feel like this is the workout portion of the broadcast
PhorrestGaze: I love rice cooker muffin (just one big one)
Anubis169: doesn't matter what race ya are KeytarCat :P
Lord_ZYRK: @LoadingReadyRun if you keep the pestle firmly pressed in the mortar and stir it like cookie dough it'll be easier on your wrists once the really big chunks are busted up a bit
DrakoniteStreams: I'm not a believer in the "no unitaskers" rule though, as long as it's something that gets used often enough to warrant taking up space
NotCainNorAbel: RECOMMENDATION: split that amount in two and then stir
KeytarCat: @electra310 at the start of the Bad Times, I got oats and a coffee grinder to make oat breads
spawnofhastur: yeah, a thai style one has both parts made out of granite.
jibkat: Stab stab stab!
spawnofhastur: if you can break granite i'll buy you a beer.
jerseygrrrrl: breathe!
Godeke: Alton Brown considers a rice cooker "not a unitasker" because it can cook non riced steamed pudding and custard, oatmeal, etc.
Basic_Human_Decency: a sack and hammer would work. then working the pestle and morter
PhorrestGaze: @TheMerricat I just pour in a batch of muffin mix
spawnofhastur: The no unitasker rule seems silly to me when most houses have a toaster.
Loonatic93: I need to learn how to make custard. It's one of my favorite desserts.
Anubis169: spawnofhastur: the one we got downstairs is carved from a single slab of marble, don't know what we'd do if it ever broke :(
Loonatic93: Especially with rhubarb!
miniMacGuru: Do you have a coffee grinder? It's what I use, but mine is solely used for spices.
Anubis169: "Will it blend?"
jerseygrrrrl: let us frappe!
niccus: one frappucinno coming up *dumps dust on counter*
Anubis169: LOL Ian, you sound like you're in the Traffic Qwopter
corefluxx: Sweet! a vintage Osterizer
SnackPak_: I love you, noise gate
DrakoniteStreams: wait, that's not the vitablend
Master_Gunner: I've heard that a blade coffee grinder is pretty ideal for spices.
TehAmelie: tbqh no mortar and pestle scene is complete unless it escalates into a frenzy of barely contained sexual symbolism that ends with the mortar breaking under the pressure. but of course that's only fiction
niccus: spice dust, don't breathe this
KeytarCat: Oh, yeah, those slanted blades do wonders
SmithKurosaki: dang. that mic suppression just did *work*
TheMerricat: You know what I've heard chat? That Ian should use a coffee grinder..... lrrBEEJ
RealGamerCow: That's flavor country
drdudeman: Is that a subtle Ikea plug?
DaSunao: @Anubis169 Holy crap that channel is still semi active
KeytarCat: @niccus Spice Dust, ooh ha ha
Loonatic93: Essential Oils: Great for flavoring. Near useless for medicine.
Master_Gunner: I would not want to accidentally mix my coffee grinder and spice grinder though. That could lead to... surprises.
HundreydAundre: That's some power socket on your stove up there.

Loonatic93: @HydraWiggins Well, except for "Weird Al."
spawnofhastur: it interests me how various mortar and pestles work better for specific cuisines. you wouldn't think it'd make that much of a difference, but apparently it does.
Anubis169: spawnofhastur: More surface area

jibkat: A brick is the base for a curry
TehAmelie: so yeah, to answer above question, this cute litle stream is ten meters deep at its MOST gentle, and full of underwater caverns and things that no robots or anything has so far been able to map. if you see it in real life, don't put your foot in. don't even walk close to it. you will die. https://i.imgur.com/vT4lkbN.png

SmithKurosaki: curry bricks is like a spice mix in brick form for making curry
jibkat: Also it makes a good defensive weapon in a pinch
CaptainTalon447: What are curry bricks?
jibkat: Apply to face of target
TheMerricat: @drdudeman he's probably also going to make curry with too, he started the rice cooker. But right now he's in the middle of doing the curry brick kit.
CaptainTalon447: Is it what it sounds like?

TheMerricat: @Loonatic93 At least currywise you are correct.
KeytarCat: I once lit the underside of a pan on fire in one of those stoves
Anubis169: there are a few things which are spicy
Anubis169: but it's not like thai food spices, which can be used to break the geneva convention
DaSunao: They have fast food curry
Blasteg: you can have curry ramen
ritchards: pestle it?
Anubis169: guessing ya don't need to sift it?
jibkat: pepergrind that salt?
kenohki2: Curry udon is so good
TheMerricat: Indian Curry didn't get spicy till the British imported Chili peppers from Central America to India, and Japan didn't have that 'advantage' so it wouldn't be that surprising that their cusine doesn't have as much heat as mainland Asia.
Anubis169: but it's nicely separated now!
Loonatic93: So, you mentioned that Japanese curry is generally sweeter. Where does that sweetness come from?
SmithKurosaki: glico bricks aren't bad
Anubis169: TheMerricat: There are a lot of Indians who're in UK now, a fair amount of the ones that set up Indian restaurants have a family recipe or some such. It's so different depending on where ya go <3

Electrodyne: Yeah, french werewolves make curry with loup-ga-roux.
Anubis169: mantuka17: Fun fact, one of our senseis in the martial arts association, way back in the day, used to be chef to the queen mother (before she passed and he moved to head chef at a rich kids private school), he said that most chefs if they know lots of extravagant stuff just cook really basic for themselves :D
Awexdio: @mantuka17 Oh I hear that so much. It's part of why I always try to find the smaller places where the creativity is more direct to the patron.
Anubis169: i really miss him, he passed away last year too :(
TheMerricat: :(
TehAmelie: i know enough french to imagine that's positively hilarioux
Loonatic93: I don't cook with wine very often. Outside of roasts, that is.
Awexdio: @mantuka17 And I also take the opportunity to "abuse" in a sense places like Subways where I get to experiment in a limited environment.
Anubis169: Awexdio: you cook on the subway? wat?
mantuka17: @Anubis169 thats sooo true i know how to cook sooo much extravagant food and until i couldnt cook as a job anymore my go to meal at home was pasta with melted cheese and butter
Awexdio: @mantuka17 Restriction breeds invention. I have to deal with the somewhat underpaid staff at a Subways chain store and somehow mix flavors from that!

mantuka17: @Anubis169 sounds yummy right now ive cut pasta out of my diet almost completely so right now my favourite me is a asian style chicken thigh in the instant pot then chopp it up and fry it with some more garlic ginger and sesame oil and toss in some soy sauce and butter then when the soy sauce and butter interacts you toss in some rice noodles and a splash of lemon to cut the fat from the sesame oil and butter
SmithKurosaki: I wish my garlic would microplate properly
TheMerricat remember all the times they accidently grated their fingers using one of these. Such fun.....
matthaus_c: I'm so chickenshit about using graters. I need to get better about that

NarwhalsInATrenchcoat: Instead of a plane, my mother uses a tiny (3-4 cm) cheese grater

RealGamerCow: planes aren't bad. mandolins are death traps

cuttlefishman: but does depend on the sue case
TheMerricat: WIth a Mandolin at least I've been scared sufficiently enough to put on my butcher gloves and use the guard. Microplanes and graters in general don't trigger that instinct for some reason.
TehAmelie: i just wanna know what the copper in DIsco Elysium would make of this plane of ground ginger
electra310: The trick is to use way more than the recipe calls for. :D

TheMerricat: At least in the US 4H tends to be bigger in more rural areas than in the urban areas. Funnily enough the Scouts tend to be bigger in the urban areas than in the rural. I'm not entirely sure how that split that way.
electra310: Nothing wrong with cows, but we live in an apartment. :D
Hexi_Lexi: having kids? in this economy?!
Hexi_Lexi: :P
PigmyWurm: I had a great time in Boy Scouts but I completely understand that a) its not for everyone and b) not all troupes are the same.
matthaus_c: @Hexi_Lexi not this economy, ~30ish years ago economy :p
SmithKurosaki: yea I think if there is 4h in like Ontario, it's all out nearer the farms. I grew up in Aggie central and never caught wind of it at school
Lysander_Gustav: I must be more sleep deprived than I thought, because I interpreted "left 4h to have me" as something that happened very recently, like five years ago.
KeytarCat: My BSA troop was good, but every other one we interacted with was awful
enfys_book is gifting 1 Tier 1 Subs to LoadingReadyRun's community! They've gifted a total of 7 in the channel!
enfys_book gifted a Tier 1 sub to epicduece!
LRRbot: lrrSPOT Thanks for the gift, enfys_book! Welcome to epicduece! (Today's storm count: 59)
AgentSmithRadio: Is there enough heat? I know it's a shallow rue but that's a really slow browning. I might just live dangerously with my rues.
TehAmelie: i feel like reading Lumberjanes made up for basically all youth outdoorsy activities i missed out on
TheMerricat: LOL @Lysander_Gustav my head cannon is that Ian popped out fully formed as is now...
mr_yarget: Lumberjanes is amazing.
iris_of_ether: Like Athena. AtheIan?
KeytarCat: :O
TehAmelie: Lumberjanes IS amazing
SirMorek: it's not too much butter, it was "not enough flour"
RandomTrivia: Aha, a cunning roux-se!
electra310: Very nice!
DrakoniteStreams: all this talk makes me think how great it would be to have a makerspace daycamp sort of thing
SmithKurosaki: think it might be ready
LurkerSpine: A suggestion for another TTSF: Make your own butter
Master_Gunner: oh no!
RandomTrivia: Ian no! You'll destabilize the fabric of the show's existence!
hesterbyrde: Huzzah! Rouxs are definitely a learned skill.
matthaus_c: does that mean the next step is never forward?

Robot_Bones: Scandelous
Lord_ZYRK: Should I close the stream?! D:
Loonatic93: Butter+Flour = Roux. Lard+Flour = Pie Crust.
electra310: Making your own butter is fun, we did that as a preschool project with baby food jars. :D
Hexi_Lexi: how DARE you learn on this show, Ian! Kappa
TehAmelie: wild supposition: TTSF needs a house cow
mr_yarget: Curry is so addictive.
KeytarCat: Lard + flour + heat = also a roux somehow??
TheMerricat: So chat, if Ian felt that he wanted to try to 'fix' the first Roux, would he just add a bit more flour and return to heat or is it essentially 'done'? Asking since I imagine when I try to do this myself....
electra310: You just shake the holy living heck out of a jar of whipping cream until it gets hard
electra310: ooooooh
matthaus_c: look at that shiiine
Lysander_Gustav: I saw a really cool butter churn on this antique-restoration show. You had to crank it and it spun a barrel.
crystalbravest: Daaaang
Hexi_Lexi: ooh, that looks AMAZING
ContingentCat: liquid gold
BlueChloroplast: saaaaaace
TehAmelie: that curry seems caramelized
RealGamerCow: so this is more of the powder you made earlier?
mr_yarget: Wish I had smell-o-vision right now.
crystalbravest: I think it's just the spices darkening it
Hexi_Lexi: an whole curry?!
TehAmelie: currymelized, if you will
Electrodyne: Nice, I'm putting this on my resume
Loonatic93: One way to find out!
TheMerricat: @RealGamerCow exactly
electra310: I have also made good butter with my Kitchenaid mixer
gualdhar: close enough
matthaus_c: best way to tell is probably to get a measuring cup and compare
AgentSmithRadio: No Ian! Don't succumb to big pot!
electra310: You have to start veeeeeery slow with the mixer.
Lysander_Gustav: :D
TehAmelie: but let's be frank, who amongst chat wouldn't kickstart a cow for TTSF?
TheMerricat: Dancing cam
Loonatic93: Before today, my only experience with Japanese Curry was that one episode of "Sailor Moon R."
Elevation_4000_FT: In my part of the US judges saw Scouts as an alternative to Juvenal Hall so Troops were full of low level criminals and kids that needed more help than Scouts were able to provide.
SmithKurosaki: the shaking can was giving me a concern
Electrodyne: I'd donate $5
ashiok_nightmare_moose: TTSF under the the influence of Big Pot
KeytarCat: @electra310 I accidentally made butter by trying to make a custard and missing important steps :P
electra310: ooonooo
niccus: iirc even walmart tends to carry some
electra310: Did it taste good?
SoulEater50210: Out of interest, do you prefer electric or gas for cooking? I just recently moved and am getting used to electric for the first time.
thavleifrim: Japanese curry is one of my favourite foods
Lord_ZYRK: Elevation_4000_FT my brother's time in the Scouts left me with the impression that it's the place for drugs and MtG
ashiok_nightmare_moose: the curry bricks are so easy its just silly
Manae: Lots of grocery stores have international sections now, though maybe not in more rural areas
DrakoniteStreams: say what you want about walmart, they have a surprisingly good selection
SirMorek: Oh this reminds me, i recently bought some stainless steel pots and really enjoy them, but they're showing weird spots on the cooking surface after i've cleaned them. Am i missing something obvious i should've learned about how to clean and care for these things?
Loonatic93: @LoadingReadyRun Perhaps. But I'm not a fan of sweeter type of curies. I tried some in London and it didn't suit me.
TheMerricat: @Elevation_4000_FT That and in my experience a lot of the folk leading the troops considered themselves "Called by God" and spent more of their time trying to shove their version of God and how to behave down the kids throats than acutally do scout stuff.
Robot_Bones: I've not been to a Wal-Mart since this nonsense started
Lysander_Gustav: I should look at some of the other food stores in my area
Ritaspirithntr: A lot of American grocery stores also have Golden Curry brick packets and they’re really good!
Elevation_4000_FT: @TheMerricat This! So much this!
Juliamon: I mostly only see Golden Curry around here
AgentSmithRadio: You've never had Butter Chicken or Tiki Malsala? Those are both British curries.
Electrodyne: Something really interesting it's the very specific types of Explorer programs. I was a Police Explorer, and every year we went camping with the Customs Explorers, Atari Explorers, and a couple other types I don't remember
rev05: I like the korean brand ottogi curry
mr_yarget: @Elevation_4000_FT My BSA was pretty much made up of Vietnam Vets. We went shooting and camping a lot.
rev05: chicken tiki masala with garlic naan...omnomnom
Ritaspirithntr: High fives @juliamon
aquinas_0: My experience with scouts was bifurcated: In one troop ex-marines viewing it as a feeder program, in another an excuse for the dads to drink beer and go camping
AgentSmithRadio: I can see not liking butter chicken.
TehAmelie: heh, the "Santa Maria" brand of taco stuff just recently celebrated a 20 year anniversary here. 20 years of every grocery store having a ""mexican"" shelf
RealGamerCow: Liedenfrost!
Loonatic93: Yeah, Tiki Malsala was the type I tried there.
Lysander_Gustav: nice
adamjford: I might be misremembering, but thank goodness the Cub/Scout troop I was in in Alberta was secular. Though I believe Scouts Canada is very different compared to the American equivalent (but I might be wrong)
mr_yarget: Tika and Butter chicken are some of my favorites. I find them to be so delicious.
AgentSmithRadio: !findquote oil
LRRbot: Quote #5074: "Oh I'm sorry, you can't clean yourself that way - in boiling oil." —Beej, as Carfax™ Seagull [2018-06-18]
Elevation_4000_FT: @mr_yarget mine was full of desert storm vets. Paranoid, PTSD afflicted, god fearing, gay bashing, motherfuckers
electra310: We are in Cub Scouts and so far it appears to be an organizations where moms do a lot of planning and packing and cooking and cleaning while the boys and dads tie knots and stuff. :D
Loonatic93: Best stuff in London. The meat pies.
electra310: Another reason for my interest in 4H!
mr_yarget: That sucks. I'm sorry, Elevation_4000_FT .
vellebastet: oh hello
TehAmelie: hmm if we could call Beej right now what are the odds he'd be boiling oil?
TheMerricat: @adamjford my understanding is yes the US branch of the BSA pretty much are isolated because of their religious issues and the non-US branches are essentially the 'cool dudes' of the society.
adamjford: @electra310 ooof
aquinas_0: I'm glad I dodged the religious strangeness
aquinas_0: still too many pushups
SmithKurosaki: I think I would have rather enjoyed cadets over guides given the choice again as a kud
SmithKurosaki: *kid
adamjford: The only Scouts thing I can really remember is the time where we had to build lean-tos and sleep in them in -30C weather
TehAmelie: "some nice brown" always sounds worse than it is
TheMerricat: @electra310 I never got into 4H due to the prejudices of my parents but I had many a friend who was in them and swore by the experience. I hope you find a nice group for your kid to join in with
adamjford: like we were Well Prepared for it but damn why did I agree to that
crystalbravest: @Elevation_4000_FT I had a similar paranoid LGTBQ-fearing presence in my scout group. It was unpleasant to say the absolute very least
electra310: Well, that is not entirely fair, our first Cub Scout pack was run by this very old guy who had the boys doing all kinds of stuff at meetings and around campouts, but when COVID hit, he had to retire and the pack dissolved. It was sad. It's the second pack that is kind of just social time
adamjford: okay I can't remember if it it was actually that cold but it was very coold
aquinas_0: @adamjford because world war 1
ritchards: if we were there with you we might be breaking guidelines
ashiok_nightmare_moose: aw yeah build up that color, get them caramels
TehAmelie: my understanding is the real Scouts are basically the reverte of Lumberjanes as far as accepting people
TehAmelie: reverse, too
WallofSleep: whatcha cooking?
electra310: Ooh, those are some pretty onions
electra310: Making curry!
mr_yarget: that fine onion smell.
TehAmelie: criminalize dose onions https://i.imgur.com/jXpKIbr.jpg
Juliamon: those onions looks like they smell so damn good
Elevation_4000_FT: @crystalbravest yes, unplesent is putting it litely. @mr_yarget It's not all bad. I learned from them what war does to a person and it's not pretty.
Ritaspirithntr: Is this Ian’s first time making curry? Just curious.
adamjford: roasty toasty
AgentSmithRadio: IAN LIVES DANGEROUSLY
DaSunao: I was trying out making a fish stew and the recipe called for a whole onion. I thought it was a bit much, but it basically dissolved by the end
TheMerricat: For anyone just joining, Ian is making Curry using the Curry Brick (think Bullion Cubes for Curry) powder that he just created using the kit he got here :https://www.sonokosakai.com/shop/curry-brick-kit - the recipe the kit was originally based on is from here - https://cooking.nytimes.com/recipes/1020451-japanese-curry-brick
Electrodyne: Ian, maillard of Canadian Flavortown
vellebastet: 🤤🤤🤤
Manae: Some gooooood looking fond
TheMerricat: @Ritaspirithntr no I think Ian's made curry many times, but not using this kit
Juliamon: Rogue onion bit on the stovetop
electra310: I need a wooden scraper like that, that looks useful
tehfewl: the F O N D
AgentSmithRadio: Who else but Ian Horner would actually find useful wooden cooking tools?
TehAmelie: rogue onions are on the borderline of criminalization lrrAWW
SirMorek: Yummy fond building up
raaabr: Glorious Fond
tknomncr: This is making me yearn for katsu curry.
adamjford: Don't think I'll be able to get that kit but I might make this based on the NYT Cooking recipe
empyreon: all that F O N D
raaabr: Abd biw waAnd now the chicken
adamjford: sounds pretty good
Robot_Bones: I just had that same thought electra310
DrakoniteStreams: the cooking episodes are usually "here is something I cook all the time", and all the rest are usually "here is something I've never done before"
raaabr: *and now we add the chicken
mr_yarget: @Elevation_4000_FT I feel ya there. I was about the same way. Between scouts and ROTC, I really just wanted to go to college.
vellebastet: I really should learn to cook like this..
mr_yarget: but...I sure look good in a uniform.
AgentSmithRadio: !findquote #2295
LRRbot: Could not find any matching quotes.
TheMerricat: So chat, I've actually never run into a stovetop like Ian's (electric burner under glass) it's always been open top or if there was class it was an induction stove. Is Ian's type that common?
electra310: I suspect you could ruin curry with sufficient effort :D
WallofSleep: I might have to see if I can geta "chef's" coat for you Ian
aquinas_0: It is common
SquareDotCube: Instructions unclear, made stroganoff instead
mr_yarget: TheMerricat its pretty common. I have one like it.
RealGamerCow: TheMerricat I have had two. They suck.
TehAmelie: yeah okay it's been like a year but this serious grocery store's "criminalized onion relish" sandwich still makes me laugh so much https://i.imgur.com/jXpKIbr.jpg
BlueMagnusStormCrow: Add a bottle of pure vinegar and you can ruin a curry.
vellebastet: Oh I can ruin curry, Ian. sykLaugh sykLaugh sykLaugh
aquinas_0: They do suck
SoulEater50210: @TheMerricat I just moved into a house with that kind of stove. Been weird since I've only used gas before
hesterbyrde: You see stoves like Ian's in apartments a lot of the time because they're the most fire safe
pokeguy5343: <message deleted>HOST POKEGUY HOST POKEGUY HOST POKEGUY HOST POKEGUY HOST POKEGUY HOST POKEGUY HOST POKEGUY HOST POKEGUY
aquinas_0: god the heating is terrible on those things
adamjford: My favourite Japanese curry I've made was based on a VICE cooking video, where they braise a whole pork shoulder, and it makes enough meat for 3 batches of curry
electra310: Use the blowtorch, set curry on fire? Possibly ruined, possibly fire-roasted curry
SmithKurosaki: I've been eating half a batch of freezer curry for lunch this week. so good :)
aquinas_0: the un-glassed coil is better even
SquareDotCube: Ian wants that gas
adamjford: Take a third of the meat and broth, make curry now, split the rest up into containers and freeze it
LurkerSpine: refrigerators have since lockdown
Manae: Costs have gone down that much
Lord_ZYRK: ^
RealGamerCow: Refrigerators are HELLA expensive
SirMorek: they sell more expensive ones, that have computers inside them
Field94: just wait ian, they will put internet of things compatibility, and THEN we will all be sorry, AND spending 10K
mr_yarget: You can run doom on your fridge now.
RealGamerCow: It is very hard to find a sub-$1000 fridge these days
electra310: Prices on appliances vary wildly
NotCainNorAbel: Really? I find fridge prices to be crazy high for anything besides basic stuff
SquareDotCube: Well, somehow the circuitry in ovens have lost enough resilience that they've removed the self-cleaning option
TheMerricat: Fridge tech hasn't really changed that much since it was invented if you don't count all the extra stuff they add like smart tvs and whatnot..
Loonatic93: And now we have computers with ovens inside them!
TehAmelie: i do not know what message got purged there, but you know what, i trust our mods implicitly, and i trust that action was for the better lrrHEART
SirMorek: there's a pretty big demand for "technically an appliance" where cost is the only measure. see landlords and builders
DrakoniteStreams: appliances have gotten way cheaper to make. if anything the profit margin has increased over time
Trahas: Not even an icemaker?
aquinas_0: @RealGamerCow if you don't bother with the fancy french doors and water filters its 600 ish for a good one
SirMorek: So commodity appliances
Electrodyne: Yes, I tell people all the time that unless you buy a car or a house, a new phone is very likely your most expensive purchase all year.
SmithKurosaki: ice Makers breaj
WallofSleep: As a retired IT professional, speaking of my PC which is custom built it is very expensive.
Mordin_Solus_Sings: Even a basic builder's grade fridge is so much more efficient these days than the top of the line in the 60's or 70's.
adamjford: Someday I'll be able to build a new PC to replace my 6-year-old one. Someday..............
Texan_Reverend: I want induction stoves to become the new default electric stoves everywhere. They're so much better and even safer still than the type Ian has.
TheMerricat: @TehAmelie if you mean the Pokeman's message it was just random spam, the previous spammer repeated it too so no clue what they were trying
electra310: There's a very strong market for the very basic appliances because they're pretty much required in every dwelling but the people who buy them are often not the people who will be using them.
DrakoniteStreams: in a basic fridge, the compressor is about the only component that costs anything to make
LurkerSpine: I mean, literally all fridges under 1200 usd were out of stock when I was looking to buy a fridge (for fridges >14 cb ft.)
AgentSmithRadio: Icemakers are awful.
SquareDotCube: Also, FREEZER ON TOP
TehAmelie: i believe you
SoulEater50210: Although there are some good affordable phones around now. Can get some really solid ones for around $200
RealGamerCow: I am knocking wood because my fridge is 15 years old, and my microwave is 37 year old.
asddsa28: yeah freezer on top
ashiok_nightmare_moose: yeah the floor on phones has risen dramatically
ThirtyCubicFeetOfSalsa: my ice maker's been broken for years and I have not cared once
rrtycoon2: and they have proprietary filters that are exceptionally expensive.
asddsa28: i cant bend well
tehfewl: parents got a freezer on bottom, and while it was an odd change, it made sense
NotCainNorAbel: I was freezer on top until I had a drawer version and I like having the drawer because I can find things in the fridge easier
PMAvers: When the ice maker broke on our old fridge, we ended up buying a tabletop ice maker and that thing worked like gangbusters.
KeytarCat: Coming back from getting food and Ian is grouching about smart appliances :P
Master_Gunner: half the drawer freezers I've seen have a mesh bottom, so no efficiency gains there
DeM0nFiRe: I recently moved to a new apartment, the fridge has left freezer and right fridge. Kinda hate it, it makes the freezer too big and fridge too small
mr_yarget: man, that stuff looks like you could just dig in right now.
TheMerricat: I want a fridge that is 100% fridge and a chest freezer.
Mordin_Solus_Sings: Depends on what you're buying. My last three generations of phones were all $300 and were fantastic.
SoulEater50210: I prefer the freezer on bottom after using it at this new place
iris_of_ether: I love my chest freezer, personally
Texan_Reverend: Personally, I like a full fridge with no freezer and a chest freezer.
DrakoniteStreams: you can buy a low end smartphone for $80
sblue333: Wait so are we making curry w/ the bricks? Or are we making the bricks themselves?
Loonatic93: I prefer walk-in freezers. But then I worked as a University cafeteria.
TehAmelie: my brother studied cooking at university, he tells me taking hot tap water will always taste worse than heating it on the stove
Loonatic93: at a University Cafeteria.
ashiok_nightmare_moose: @sblue333 the first
NotCainNorAbel: @TheMerricat That is a dream of mine; it will require a kitchen remodel
DeM0nFiRe: "as a cafeteria" LUL Loonatic93

rangerboy87: @DrakoniteStreams That's my go-to...usually lasts 2-3 before I have to replace it
KeytarCat: To be clear, we have all seen the tech connections about freezers, right?
TheMerricat: @sblue333 you are a bit late so you missed him making hte bricks. He's now moved to making curry with one of the 'bricks' though it hasn't had a chance to 'brick' yet. :)

iris_of_ether: So far I have used Hero Forge to make 2 completely new minis, but have just done kitbashes/mods on everything else
DeM0nFiRe: Oh neat
iris_of_ether: Yeah, my experience is in painting and modding. Actual sculpting is well beyond me :D
DeM0nFiRe: I always want to try some kind of physical crafting like that but never get around to actually trying it
iris_of_ether: That's fair! It's definitely something that could be fun. I've just heard that greenstuff epoxy putty is a bit of a bear to sculpt with. I've heard good things about Beesputty, though
iris_of_ether: Polymer clay is much gentler, if you're working in larger scales than this, too :)

iris_of_ether: :D I look forward to painting them :)
DeM0nFiRe: Heh do you have to use like a single strand of hair as a brush
iris_of_ether: I use a size 1 and a size 2 brush. The most important thing is that the hair holds a fine point. Having too few bristles actually kind of makes it dry out too fast I think?
DeM0nFiRe: Ah, makes sense
